My movie suggestion actually won. I was already planning to watch it again but this just pushes it up now. I've also been listening to Halcyon On and On lately too. The soundtrack is so good.

Nominations for October are now open!
October is upon us, and so now is the time to respect the age-old tradition of trick or treating!
Nominate two movies that fit the spooky season vibe, a scary movie and a campy one! A movie that terrifies (or will terrify) you and one that doesn't! (I could not, for the life of me, think of something that rhymes with terrifies.)
(Boh's suggestions: scare you or humor you, tickles your spine or tickles your sides)
Two movies, one of each kind, will win the vote 🫡

John Carpenter's The Thing. I played that shitty video game based on it a week ago might as well have more excuses to watch it again. Haven't seen it since 2016, back when I was a film watching novice. Now I've levelled up to the point where I'm adept.
I know for sure I'll love the movie like I always did but the fact John Carpenter gave that piece of shit game his blessing I can't wrap my head around. The man even showed up in the damn game. He must've changed into a different man after he stopped making Hollywood movies. The guy who made The Thing, Escape from New York, Big Trouble in Little China and Assault on Precinct 13 eventually went away.

This is my favorite genre and I could recommend a ton.
In the Mouth of Madness is a psychological cosmic horror by John Carpenter. It’s the type of movie every horror fan should watch.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113409/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk
For funny, Tucker & Dave vs Evil is always a really good option. Its silly and gory and a fun time.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1465522/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk
Both of these are on multiple free streaming services like Tubi.

I don't really watch horror movies, so I don't have many options.
For the campy movie I'll nominate Final Destination Bloodlines and for the scary movie I won't nominate anything because I couldn't think of another horror movie I would want to watch.

The results are out! Witching and Bitching is the uncontested winner of the poll both overall and for the treats!
As for the tricks, The Thing, In the Mouth of Madness and [REC] are all tied with 4 votes.
That, ofc, means that IT'S TRICKBREAKER TIME (tiebreaker with a dumbass name courtesy of me :) )
ONE VOTE ONLY. You cannot vote for multiple movies like in the main poll.

Didn't vote for either of these, so I'll just watch my nomination anyway. :D
