Most Overrated Game?

God of War series is overrated, but especially God of War (2005) is incredibly overrated. The only parts I’d call average are the boss fights and QTEs. Everything else is terrible; the gameplay is very poor. You might say “it was good for its time,” but God of War (2005) came out just one month after DMC 3. I think that alone clearly shows how bad the game is, even for its time.

Yeah, just like Bayonetta is a bad game just because DMC4 is older and better. No.
Also, QTE is the worst thing in GOW.

Why does budget matter? You can make a good game regardless of how much money was put into the production. The indie scene has risen in popularity because of this. You also seem think to not having combat as good as those games and being trash are the same thing when they are not.

It's like trying to make GTA 5 with a $5 million budget. The result doesn't feel like a completely independent game, but it's not AAA quality either. Still, I agree with you, it's not right to call a game trash just because its combat system isn't top-notch. If a game is playable and can be completed, it has value. But for me, GOW (2005) still feels overrated.

Every Elder Scrolls, Fallout 3+4 and Starfield. All of Bethesda games are medicore. There games hadn´t a competion for a long time. But KCD and Cyberpunk are way better in terms of Story, Gameplay overall Gamedesign, World Design.

What does that have to with God of War 2005? Most of the indie styled GTA games are more so styled after the 2D games like American Fugitive, Rustler and the recently released Precinct. God of War 2005 doesn't feel like a game that is in limbo of AA and AAA either. Also, you trying to tell me you've been on the internet and never once bothered to type in "God of War 2005 sucks" on Youtube or Google? There'd bound to be at least 5-6 Reddit threads talking about how much the game isn't good. You can find at least a couple of negative reviews for the game just by organizing the user reviews of this site by score. There was even a heel turn going on when the 2018 game came out.

I don't like Metal Gear Solid 3 for example and just by typing in on google, "MGS3 Delta turn off first person grass crawling animations", I saw one Reddit thread insulting the "original" game.

That's the problem with these "overrated" discussion threads, just use a search engine and problem solved. Sure people will be apprehensive when responding but the internet is basically just organized crime meets religious cult groups anyway.

For a recent game, I would have to say MouthWashing.
I really didn't enjoy that game.

It's an 8/10 on here; I would give it a 4.
