I randomly found it while wondering how long the original Kingdom Hearts was back when I played in it in 2013 on the HD Remix on PS3. I was depressed after failing to become a game dev all though I am happy in retrospect. Regarding KH1, I was really not liking the game at the time and I was wondering how long it was since it was like a chore I didn't want to do and KH was a series no one would shut up about, I basically found this site because I was wondering, "how much is left?" Then I started to form an account on here since tracking a backlog on pen and paper was becoming a huge pain and I needed something easier and simpler to manage. It was either Backlogged or this but the community and the interface on this site I vastly prefer by a large margin.

I found it because I make PCGamingWiki articles and I saw website all the time. I never really paid much attention because I didn't know you could keep track of backlogged games and stuff like that.

I was looking up backlog randomisers because I couldn't decide what to play and came across this site.

I've watched multiple YouTube videos about how to beat my gaming backlog and many recommend this website where I can build my list of games to track which ones I've beaten or not and to see how long it would take to beat them. I was able to beat most of my games in my backlog by playing and beating the shorter games.

Back in 2017 I got my first "gaming" PC, it was more so a mid-end one tho. Either way I bought games on Steam for the first time there and was really interested in playing NieR: Automata, wanted to see how long it is and if all the endings are mandatory thus leading me to HLTB. Ever since I found out I can start a timer while playing and catalogue everything into lists and keep track of things I made an account and got hooked.

I wanted to log all my video games like I did with anime and manga by anilist, I also like to rate as accurately as possible for some reason so, at first I used myvideogamelist but it only had 10 point decimal rating, then I saw backloggd but it only 5 star rating system and then I found howlongtobeat and it had 20 point rating system and I then continued to keep using it.
