Do You Log DLC's seperately or use the "DLC / Expansions Included" Option While Logging The Game?

Personally It feels like logging DLC that are a couple hours long is unethical and a means to up the completed games number.. but I did for example log Shadow Of The Erdtree seperately since it's almost like a full game. Other than that I tend to use the "DLC / Expansions Included" option.. Thoughts?

I log it in seperately and then subtract it from my overall completions along with the games I replay among other variables.

A little of both. If there’s a separate listing for it here I’ll usually time them separately for separate entries. If there is no listing I’ll just include it and use the checkbox.

My understanding is that the tick box is to prevent inflated times from people filing “incorrectly”. I assume there is some kind of weighting for the average. Also not all DLC offers extra gameplay and may in fact add characters or weapons etc that make the game quicker to play. Disgaea 6 and several Tails games offer dlc for level boosting items.

As for ethics, dlc are counted separately on the bottom of your completion page.

I log DLCs using the checkbox because when I play a game, I also play the DLC immediately afterwards, so I consider it one playthrough. I only log a DLC separately if a DLC comes out after my main playthrough and I play it later on.

If I played all the DLC together with the game, I put a check mark on the dlc, and not log them separetadely. If I played the DLC after a while, I log it separetely, and mark the game as DLC.

I don't log DLC separately and use the DLC included checkbox as well. Like GreenStarfish, I consider it one playthrough. I play games so much later than they come out that I don't think I've ever been in a situation where I played a game all the way through, moved on to something else, then came back when new DLC dropped. Not since I joined this site anyway.

I tend to do just the whole game.
