Oh, so you are playing all the routes... Do tell me if the multiple playthroughs end up being worth the time :D

It certainly was interesting gameplay-wise, since in I there's a lot more exploration, but you destroy enemies by tackling them to dead... And I got zero idea how the math behind it works! Still like it, but I do prefer Origin.

Eventually... I played through with Hugo first and I've played a little of Yunica. While the areas are of course the same, they're very different characters in gameplay, personality and their personal goals, so lots of different dialogue. And if I remember correctly there's at least a couple 'mini-bosses' that are different between them. And based on what I do know I imagine the third character would be fairly different again in insights gained on the overall plot.

Now we are entering June, and since I have some stuff to do for school and work, and I've been rediscovering my love for books, it might be even a quieter month... So Let's see what await us...

Heeeey, I'm still alive and kicking! And so, it is time for another (I guess monthly?) update!

First of all, I finished the grand total of 5 games in June, and I've added 5 games to the backlog (3 in June, 2 in July) and swapped a game on my backlog (more on that later).

First of all, my completions:

- Murder by Numbers [PC] - June 8th
- Strange Horticulture [PC] - June 9th
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge (co-op) [PC] - June 22nd
- Picross S: Genesis & Master System Edition [Switch] - June 26th
- Dungeon of the Endless (co-op) [PC] - June 29th

Not too shabby, eh?

My June additions were the following:

- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge (co-op) [PC]
- Picross S: Genesis & Master System Edition [Switch]
- Dungeon of the Endless (co-op) [PC]

And, as you saw above, all three of them got completed, so go me! My July additions are all loot from the steam sales:

- The Room 4 : Old Sins
- Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara

Also, I got Valkyria Chronicles on Steam, which replaces my PS4 copy of Valkyria Chronicles Remastered.... simply because I wanted easier access to it, since my bf still has my PS4 at his place.

Finally, I failed a Pokemon X nuzlocke, and also decided to purge a bunch of games, so these are no longer on my backlog:

- Age of Empires: Definitive Edition [PC]
- Akira [Emulated]
- Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak [Emulated]
- Bravely Second: End Layer [3DS]

Finally, I'll do my best to focus on these games this month:

- Fire Emblem: Three Houses
- Variable Barricade
- The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures

All of them on Switch. Oh, and on my Steam pick-ups, of course!

Dayyyyyum, look at that net decrease! I know it's from purging but still. Sounds like a solid July plan! :)

Long time no read!
It's been a busy year, but since once of my classes was cancelled, I got no consoles with me nor my work notebook, let's catch up!

So... my backlog is a bit out of control. On the update I made one year ago, I say that I had 229 games left in my backlog... Surprise! that number has increased! Right now my backlog sits at 257 games and that's not even counting all the preorders, like Charade Maniacs, Radiant Tale, Occultic;Nine and so on. The rule is: if it ain't in my hands, it ain't on my backlog. Also, the total time to beat them all, considering their completionist times, is around 597 days... ooof.

Anyways, enough whining! We need a plan of action!

First of all, I've reorganized my custom tabs on "Otome" (where all the otome, localized or unlocalized sits), "SciAdv" (Home to the Science Adventures series) and "Started" (Where everything I put time and haven't retired is). And on "playing" I put everything that I'm currently playing, but if it's been more than 2 weeks since I've touched it, sorry hun, you're out. That way I can keep track of what I'm actively playing more easily... that and people will stop asking if I'm actively playing 50 games at once.

So, what's on that "playing" tab? Glad you asked:

- Fire Emblem Engage [Switch] - close to finishing it
- Hatoful Boyfriend [PC] - replay
- Lover Pretend [Switch] - 1/4 routes completed
- Pokemon Emerald [GBA] - 7/8 badges
- Subsurface Circular [PC] - starting soon
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom [Switch] - there's a loooong way to go

So, the plan consists in

1) Finish stuff I've already started
2) Knock a short game or two here and there
3) Try not to start even more stuff I'm not gonna finish soon (the real challenge)

Of course, I should try not to buy as many games... but sorry, Aksys and Idea Factory International have my wallet as hostage, so at the very least, I'm still buying otome games on release date. I'll avoid sales like the plague though.

As the actual top three priorities to finish right now are (drumroll please):

1) Subsurface Circular [PC] - since it's the shortest one
2) Hatoful Boyfriend [PC] - since we are talking about it with some frineds really soon
3) Pokemon Emerald [GBA] - since it's my "watch videos and relax game"

Why did nobody told me the Steam Summer Sale started today??

I'll avoid sales like the plague though.

Welcome back to another entry on this attempt of a blog, where I promise something and then break said promise the day after!
As you probably already know, I've fallen victim to Gabe's power: the dreaded Steam Sales! Here's what went into my backlog last week:

- Getting Over It With Bennet Foddy
- Blue Fire
- Needy Streamer Overload
- Tangle Tower
- The Wondering Village
- Terra Nil

To be honest, I behaved this time around. I swear I've spent more than I would like to admit on other Steam Sales.
The good news is that I already completed a game: Terra Nil.

Here you have to restore the environment on what's pretty much a dead and polluted planet. You do that by placing different buildings that cleanse the earth, make plants grow, burnt down areas to plant a forest, repopulating the environment with various animals and even containing radiation. Since you have to take into account on resource (leaves? nature? idk what it's called), it kinda turns into a light puzzle/resource management game, where you have to take actions in the right order to avoid running out of leaves and having to start over a section of the stage. The game was very chill, and I totally recommend it. Though if you want to only experience the main story, I'd wait for a sale (like the one NOW!), since it is very short. If you are more of a completionist, you are getting your money's worth, even at full price imo.

That's a very modest list of games you purchased during the Steam Sale :-) I wish mine had the same length, but I caved and bought wayyy too many games (and I'm eyeing a few more).

I agree with Domido! It's definitely a more modest purchase of games compared to many sprees that I have gone on... trust me... I have 1000 games for a reason. You should pat yourself on the back! You got this!
