While quaint, Curious Village is best enjoyed as a chill game to take your time with, as the story is the least intense it'll ever be throughout the series. I felt the puzzles were often esoteric and riddle-like, but I dig the aesthetic.

The setting is a huge step up from Curious Village, but the puzzles are not. They feel exactly on the same level, just slightly harder. Again, better as a chill vibes game than something to "complete," and I am terrible at relaxing.

I can already tell this is one of the best in the series- with minimal backtracking, a unified theme for many of the puzzles, and a wacky zany storyline that you CAN'T predict no matter how hard you might try. Turns into a real tearjerker by the end!

A stellar Layton title with a great grounded mystery (more grounded than UF anyway) and the stunning debut of newcomer Emmy! This is a gorgeous and relaxed puzzle game with an engaging narrative, and one of my favorite settings - the town of Misthallery.

There is a solid chance I never play this game due to its developers admitting to and celebrating the fact that they are now using AI to create all aspects of their games. Shame on you, Level 5.
