Due to normal momentum and the pandemic, traffic to the site grew drastically in 2020. So either way we were growing quickly.

I was working 45 hours at my primary job and at least 10-15 hours on the site weekly.

Now I can dedicate more time and energy into the site.

I'm still approving and adding new titles myself but inevitably I will get assistance because it's already a lot for one person. I've built a solid system for approvals and it should help keep the data reliable and consistent for when that day comes.

I am glad that you'll be getting more backup for the site. The few times I submitted a game it felt quick to me, so I can imagine how you've been trying to stay on top of everything.

Damn! Congrats, Everdred! I'm sure it must feel like a major relief to know that you've got more support in your corner. You've been doing a hell of a lot of work over the past nearly decade on this. The site is now owned by IGN/Ziff Davis and they have employed me to continue working on it. There will be an official announcement and FAQ coming soon.

The site has been and will continue to be a labor of love. This will allow the site to grow to it's greatest potential.

I have worked for nearly 10 years on this project and would never sell unless I truly believed it was a benefit to the site.

We have very ambitious plans and ideas. Stay tuned!

I don't normally care either way. It's all the same to me. Though I did come to respect Everdred. I'd dare say I even trusted him to run his own site, which is more than I can say for most individuals or organizations. Now? Well, my trust is a worthless currency.

The fact that you'll become just an employee on your own site keeps me worried though.

Congratulations on everything Everdred! Although I am a bit saddened you are not the principal owner of the site anymore, as long as you are comfortable with all the arrangements then I fully respect and support it. I look forward to what you have planned for the future.

Congrats on the sale but as someone who can't stand the experience of using most sites under the control of Ziff-Davis, I hope this site doesn't become like theirs, full of ads that set my Privacy Badger extention ablaze. I know you're confident in the arrangement though and I hope it works out for the best. Cheers man!

If we're suggesting platforms, Pokemon Mini and the upcoming Playdate would be pretty cool to add as well.

I'm hesitant to add some of these like Adventurevision because they have so few games. Wikipedia says that Adventurevision has 4 games. I assume you are emulating all these?

However, after doing a quick search online I was able to bypass this by selecting a different page from the site search (ex. Privacy Policy). This has been in effect for about 30 minutes now, and is probably giving people the impression that the site is down. The site itself is working fine but the main page appears to be busted.
