I don't have a problem counting DLC but I do think it shouldn't count replays.

I think some people are different though and don't just care about number of games completed, but number of times completed any game.

I'm not sure what most people are like with that but I guess your right about DLC's maybe being added as a unique game but personally I would just rather only have an individual game counted and exclude the DLC's. At least the 49 games already counted are accurate. Also, if I wanted to see how many times I've completed a game rather than how many individual games I've completed, I would just think to my self "total playthroughs - number of DLC's = number of times I've completed a game before"

Yeah, I don't tend to replay games either, and even when I do, I don't record duplicates.

But I know that some people - Everdred included - do, so I don't think the two of us are gonna convince him to change it ;)

But many dlcs are essentially entire games in terms of content/time involved. I’ve certainly played dlc longer than my average game. And that’s before I count FFXIV....

I was just wondering why the little tick underneath some peoples profile profile picture is based on the number of playthroughs added to the completed tab instead of the number of unique games which would make more sense imo. For example, my profile says "Completed over 50 games!" under my pp when really, I have only completed 49 unique games and shouldn't have that tag on my profile yet and the reason I do have the tag is because I have 55 playthroughs added under the completed tab. the extra things are 4 DLC's and 2 replays of the same title.

I also think it's about consistency - the site lists DLCs as their own entry, so they show as their own completion - much like how replays show as their own entry in a user's completion list, so they count as overall completions. I don't care about the number, but it makes sense that it would reflect how the site is structured. =)

Hi Everdred, I'd like to suggest a feature for lazy people (like me):

In a forum thread with multiple pages it would be nice if on the top of the current page there was something like 'Last reply on previous page 1d 5h ago'.

It would save me, and probably others, the time to check if unseen replies are on the previous page of the thread.

There is no difference between playing on a mini console or the real thing. It’s been specifically ruled out previously and is unlikely to change (as the platform field is for noting completion times not tracking your personal collection).

Could you add the ability to use forum formatting tags in the playthrough General Notes and/or Main Story/Main Story+/etc. Notes fields? Doesn't even need the GUI buttons like the forum has, just support for the tags so users can put in hyperlinks.

The search bar on the site is really aggressive. If I press the spacebar (which I use a lot for scrolling), it will navigate away from the page I'm on and open up a search page. Is there any way to turn off this behavior, and only search when I actually click on the search bar?

I just noticed, if you send someone a friend invite, you'll see their real name on the Friend Requests panel, even if their real name is normally set to friends-only. I imagine people with that privacy setting would rather this were not the case.

This behaviour seems to be because the search bar gets the default focus. If you click elsewhere on the page (such aa blank space) , space bar returns to its default behaviour.

I guess most people don't use the space button for navigation otherwise it would have come up before.

Is it worth adding a flag for worldwide release dates, so one date can be entered and then displayed as Worldwide rather than regional?

For example Steam games are generally released and available worldwide, regardless of language and even on console synced worldwide dates are not unusual these days. It's not so much for individual game editing as it's easy to use say, mobygames for the dates and then only takes a few clicks to fill. When you are doing bulk edits on the other hand...

Hey Everdred, how possible would it be in the stats page to see a list of games added to backlog/account by month, similar to completion? That way it'd be easier to see how many games one is "putting out" (completing) compared to how many they're "taking in" (buying). Just a suggestion/thought!

Would be better to have small icon of Twitch logo near name - to put directly user directly into stream, without having to go through his profile (and keeping profile redirect on nickname).

Adding stats for "added to profile" would be pretty simple, as that is already being tracked. However, that field isn't editable at the moment so it wouldn't reflect when you bought it, just added to your profile.

I can't speak for anyone else but I usually add games the day I buy them, so I'd be totally okay with it just being the "date added" stat. Just thought it'd be helpful for those who want to beat games faster than they buy them (like me, because I'm guilty of being bad at that) to kinda see where the numbers fall in that category.

Hey EverDred. I was adding some old DLC games to my completed tab for Streetpass Mii Plaza on the Nintendo 3DS and noticed that when I added those games from the Mii plaza they were not classified as DLC because when I add it to my completed tab or any other tab, it does not add a number to the DLC/Expansions but it rather adds it to the Unique games which should not be the case. The name of the DLC's are different in different regions so I'll just name both versions

just a question. Does this website have some way that it names a game both the name versions from different regions? For example, Luigi's Mansion 2 is named Luigi's Mansion 2 here in Australia but is called Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon in some countries and when I search both the names up in the sites main search bar for seeing how long games take to beat, it seems to take me to the exact same page whether I type Luigi's Mansion 2 OR Dark Moon but the only difference is the name. Even the same amount of people have listed the game on both versions of the page. The reason I ask is that all of the DLC in Streetpass Mii Plaza is only named by its overseas name, so in Australia, one of the DLC's are called Streetpass Squad but overseas it is called Mii force, and the website doesn't list that, so you actually have to know the name of the game overseas in order to search it up.

I'm not sure where you're supposed to suggest games to be added to the website but there is more DLC here from the same game that I noticed was missing from the site entirely
