Lonesome road is one of the loneliest parts of the fallout new vegas games and it is built that way with only 2 npcs to talk to (EDE and Ulysses) but it creates a full compelling if linear little story within the world of fallout new vegas with Ulysses acting as one of the most compelling antagonists in the game and how his story overlaps with the couriers backstory. This is the strongest DLCs for New vegas and very much worth a playthroughUpdated 2.5 Weeks Ago

Enjoyed having a robot companion, sad he had to sacrifice himself. Main antagonist annoying and uninteresting. Enjoyed the hoarding that DLC caters to.Updated 4 Months Ago

Lonesome Road is an unnecessary but great addition to Fallout New Vegas that feels like a proper endgame challenge that expands upon the Mojave specifically. The story is great, the player character didn't need a backstory but with how Ulysses was built up in the base game and the expansions, it provides a lot of depth to the Mojave and makes the player question their character. Even though the story only has 3 (4 if you count the Divide itself) characters, the writers were able to get a lot of use out of them, the overall writing is a bit weird in that it assumes you're on an NCR character but the actual ending can apply to any faction. This DLC is fairly hard which is a refreshing change of pace from every other piece of New Vegas, the Divide feels like a place that is well and truly fucked beyond repair and the enemies reflect this. Although the amount of ammo you get is minimal which is an annoying issue as there are a lot of creatures to kill here and with the scaling up to level 50, they are some of the tankiest enemies in the game. Although it doesn't have much replayability as there are almost no side quests, the actual story is memorable with the outcome of the DLC making a difference for your character (which is more than what could be said about Honest Hearts).Updated 9.5 Months Ago

Good expansion for the main story. Otherwise I'd say it's the least interesting from all the DLCsUpdated 10 Months Ago

I think I enjoyed this DLC the most out of them all. It's definitely flawed, but I thought it was kinda cool. Even though it sort of comes out of nowhere, I really liked the rivalry between Ulysses and Courier 6. I was able to talk Ulysses out of fighting, which I felt led to an even better ending scene where you fight everyone off together. If I had to rank all the Fallout: New Vegas DLC from worst to best, here's how I'd do it: Honest Hearts, Dead Money, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road.Updated 1.5 Years Ago

This one is a tough one to rank, but I would probably put it just below Old World Blues, the additions of weapons, armor and items from this add on were definitely my favorite. The story was also really good, tying together the main story and the mystery of the courier, but once you get later into the map the linear path is kind of disappointing. The ending can also be a tough choice that can effect the main game and some locations based on your decisions.Updated 3 Years Ago

A fitting end to the fallout new vegas story. Although a bit disappointing after being built up for the whole game.Updated 4 Years Ago

Lonesome Road isn't actually as good as I think it is. But I still enjoyed it a lot. It has its problems: linearity and forced character background, mainly. The difficulty wasn't that big of an issue since I was high level and had good kit.Yes, it's a crawl through ruined buildings, abandoned bunkers and radioactive pits (maybe they weren't radioactive, but that sounds better). As a high-level endgame affair, I enjoyed it, the new loot and the scenery. It felt familiar but different. It was twisted, both literally and figuratively. There's something epic about the journey made in this DLC, from the edge of the Mojave into the destruction of the Divide, to make a final choice. And there's something prophetic about the plot and the predictions made and come true. It was a great end to a great game, that also connected to the events of Old World Blues and Dead Money. But if you had a specific concept for your Courier's background? That's shot out the window. I didn't, and I enjoyed the background between me and Ulysses, but I understand why the plot upset some people.
This DLC holds a special place in my heart, even above OWB. I loved what others hated, and your preference will make or break your experience here. If it clicks, it'll be one of the most memorable parts of the whole Fallout: New Vegas experience. If not, it'll be a disappointment.

Насквозь боевое DLC, где сильно пугают лишь последствиями влияния нам мир наших действий, наступление которых мы, разумеется, так и не увидим.7/10

Not as many options as the main game, the whole thing is very straightforward. However, Ulysses is an interesting antagonist and this DLC serves as a decent send off to the whole adventure.Updated 6 Years Ago

A decent dlc entry for New Vegas, and while the story is alright it's nothing amazing. It is somewhat nice to finally wrap up the loose ends on the story of ED-E but it is simultaneously hamfisted in having us play the expansion with an alternate robot assuming ED-E's place and expecting us to care the exact same way, as a result it falls a bit flat. The gameplay is more of the same, again enemies seem to be tuned to silly magnitudes, tunnelers for example able to kill at level 50 in ~2 - 3 hits in full power armor and with chem usage, dealing with them en mass felt a little bit too luck based at times. Plus the few additions to the weaponry like the Red Glare just weren't as impressive as they probably should have been.In the end it's worth playing, some people may actually favor it more compared to Old World Blues due to it's more sombre tone, regardless, if you've come this far and enjoyed Fallout: New Vegas to any degree, it's a very nice way to cap off the New Vegas saga.

Ugh! After playing all the other DLCs and deciding I tended to agree with the higher ratings they'd get, I expected to love this one just as much, but naw, nope, no siree. It ain't much to look at, comparatively. It's a long corridor, all story, and when I say all story, I mean the story isn't that special--and here it is, the end of the Courier MysteryUpdated 13 Years Ago
