Borderlands 2 is pretty excellent, as many have attested, and contrary to what many would say, I would argue that Pre-Sequel is pretty great as well; not as good as 2, but certainly a very solid game on its own merits. Both games have been updated with superior visuals, and because of this, Pre-Sequel often times looks amazing, primarily when looking at the skyboxes, which are exactly the type of skyboxes I've always wanted to see in a sci-fi game. And while both games are a lot slower and longer than I would like, including the DLC (although those are more to the point), there is TONS of fun to be had with these, easily 120+ hours, even on a single playthrough of all, and I was rarely bored for more than a couple of minutes. They also have good voice acting and stories as well, which I did not expect after the first game's borderline-nonexistent narrative.Updated 5 Months Ago

the best package of games. BL2 is ofc a heater. the remaster helps with the frame rate and resolution a lot but without harming the games in any way.Updated 8 Months Ago

+ Great gunplay;+ Amazing variety of weapons;
+ Rewarding looting system;
+ Memorable characters;
+ Good humor;
+ Excellent co-op multiplayer;
+ Both games still offer solid experiences.
- Visuals are already starting to show their age;
- Awkward driving mechanics;
- Samey locations;
- The world feels a bit empty on both games;
- No inclusion of the first Borderlands;
7 - Worth buying, especially during sales for less than 10€.

I played the absolute shit out of this on my Ps4 in addition to playing BL2 on Steam. The Pre-Sequel is VERY lackluster but Borderlands 2 plays just as great on console as it does on PC. PC's a lot smoother to play but using a controller doesn't change the game drastically or anything.Updated 2.5 Years Ago

I played the game on release and loved it ...I recently got the handsome Jack collection and I gotta say this games holds up well in 2022. They got loot right in I find myself completing all the side quests and going back to old areas being rewarded with legendary and epics. The Dlcs are fantastic Assault on dragons keep is absolutely 💯 I find myself 100% this game and that is something to be said because I get bored of most new games 10hrs in and never pick them back up.My verdict is if your into Diablo 2 style loot with a shooter that offers a challenge get this ...if your a fan of diablo 3 loot and a easier time borderlands 3 is your game.

Good, some terrible DLCs, awful idea of balance with True Vault Hunter mode and such. Borderlands 2 is better.Updated 4 Years Ago

Borderlands 2:Borderlands is a funny series to me. I found myself very bored with it for a long time, until near the end when I actually enjoyed this game. It all depends on the character you pick, all have their own action skill which can be activated. I mainly played as Krieg.
The gameplay can be fun, and the story is fine but I found some characters a bit too over the top.
Brick is still my favorite no matter what.
It's a pretty fun shoot and loot game to be played in co-op. Alone can be quite tedious.
Borderlands Pre-Sequel:
The one thing I liked about the Pre-Sequel is the fact that you are on the moon and have a ground pound.
I'm not a fan of pretty much every character having fake Australian accent. I don't understand why this is the case.
Story wise it's ok but it doesn't hold a candle to Borderlands 2.

Gameplay: 7.5/10+ good in short sessions; it is very refreshing to see the game not take itself too seriously
+ lots of different guns
- "hoistering claptrap bug"
- never get any good guns from chests
- do not notice the difference in performance of guns
+ always joking around
+/- formula of shooting and looting can get old but Borderlands finds funny game elements to keep it interesting (i prefer this over Doom and Wolfenstein)
+ "save and quit" option
Graphics: 7.5/10
+ actually looks really good despite the chaos and brutal art style
- areas begin to look identical (feels like you're just mopping up an area, and level design barely makes a difference in game-play)
Audio: 9/10
+ VAs have lots of personality e.g. Claptrap has a funny yet likeable voice
- soundtrack is very basic
