a fantastic collection. i've played the first game before, and it was great being able to play the second game through to the end for the first time with an official translation.

the first game has some really high points, particularly from case 4 onwards. the overarching story regarding the yatagarasu is fantastically set-up and really captivating, however it's a shame how it resolves so early in the final case of the first game. the true final villain of said case is completely uninteresting and it drags on far too long, meanwhile the aspect of the "true yatagarasu" is resolved far too early for how strong of a plot point it is, in my opinion. case 3 also feels largely unrelated to the story of this game, and it can feel slow at points. the new musical flavour of aai1 is really welcome, and hearing a darker, yet also energetic approach to the music atmosphere is a nice change. however, the oppressive nature of some bgm tracks and overuse of motif referencing can get tiring towards the end of the second game.

aai2 is absolutely incredible. all cases in this game, (even case 3!! escaping case 3 syndrome), have strong ties to a developing overall mystery, with perhaps one of the best, or the best, villain in the series. all new characters are lovely and there are some new favourites introduced here too with eustace and verity gavelle. further development on kay faraday and miles' goal as a prosecutor is also extremely welcome. overall a fantastic game, with only one main criticism i might provide being that excelsius winner is not nearly as intimidating or captivating as a character as i would like given his importance to the events. uncovering that he is behind many plot points hits a little weaker when he hasn't had much time to feel intimidating or have much of an aura of respect. verity gavelle felt like more of an enemy to face in this game than excelsius, as, though she was lower ranking, she felt like a strong, returning rival . the main thing i would have liked from this game is honestly just having it be longer, with more development on a few characters. besides that, this game is phenomenal, and together with the first, slightly weaker game, in an updated collection, is great. i really hope to see the characters exclusive to these games return to the series. 9.1/10.

I have grown to love Ace Attorney, and this Edgeworth Investigations Collection remaster provides more of what I love about the series and done very well I must say. A fantastic collection of games that really flesh out Edgeworth's character and other recurring support characters that make a return. There are also a number of returning side characters from previous cases in the original Phoenix Wright trilogy, which I greatly enjoyed seeing how they were doing. The cases in both games are actually quite solid, and in the case of Investigations 2, all amazing. The first Investigations game only really has 1 atrociously bad case, and the last case in the game, while intriguing and memorable, goes on for WAY TOO DAMN LONG. I AM NOT KIDDING, WHEN YOU FIND OUT WHO THE KILLER IS, YOU SPEND 3 STRAIGHT HOURS CROSS EXAMINING HIM BECAUSE HE KEEPS PULLING EXCUSES OUT OF HIS ASS. If you get it, you get it. That part was where the case became not fun anymore. Other than that, solid and great cases all around, with interesting plots, twists, turns, and the like. Amazing music and chibi sprites as well, they really added to the overall experience. I was loving every moment of when I was playing the game. Occasionally, the investigations would go on for a little too long, but that's really one of the only gripes I have. If you have not played this duology and you've already played the first 3 Ace Attorney games, please do so! It is well worth it and will leave you with so many amazing memories and moments. Highly, highly recommend!!!!

Thie is my first time playing through both Investigations games. I've got to say, Investigations 2 is my new favorite Ace Attorney game. Unfortunately, Investigations 1 is good, but not that great. The collection is worth playing if you are an avid Ace Attorney fan.

- yeah i mean this is just spectacular. AAI has some flaws with pacing, but has one of the best cases in the series in Turnabout Reminiscence, and does a great job setting up the characters for AAI2, which may just be the best game in the series
- Prosecutor's Gambit is genius, through and through. ace attorney narrative at its best
- there's only so much i have to say—it's ace attorney. i love ace attorney. i want more of it. just spectacular
- Miles giving up his badge is one of the greatest moments in all of AA
- i would lay my life down for Eustace Winner

Possibly one of the best pairs of games in the entire franchise. The shift from the courtroom to focus on the investigation aspects breathes life into the world of Ace Attorney, and the Mind Chess mechanic is an incredibly fun new method of drawing out valuable information. All of the intricate whodunnit narrative threads are here, and even a fair few of the characters from across the series, so couldn't recommend this collection more.

玩时偶尔会有些审判系列的感觉，都是一个特别板正注重形象的角色在搞笑底色的游戏系列里担纲分支游戏的主角，都有点儿放不开😂。

1代中规中矩，没啥特别有新意的案子，但同样的也没有特别出格，需要不断试错才能试出来的证据，能顺畅的一口气通关。
2代也没啥特别有新意的案子，但有那么几个特别出格，会让你“不是，为啥是这玩意”的证据，部分逻辑上点儿有强行解释。
只不过，剧情好，角色刻画好，演出更好，是逆转这大系列里少有的玩到燃起来还不止一次的作品（没玩过456或者说没印象了罢😂）。

这不出三说不过去。
也和审判一样😂。

This collection has two solid but undeniably flawed Ace Attorney games. I'd put both at about a 7/10. AAI1 has two of the biggest stinker cases in the whole series but also two of the series' best. On the other hand, AAI2 is more consistently quality, but it stumbles at the conclusion with half-baked theming and a ludicrously contrived overarching plot that buckles under the pressure of completely interconnected cases.
