This game is absolutely incredible. It has everything I like—and even the things I usually don’t enjoy are presented so well that I can still tolerate them. It instantly became not only one of my favorite games, but also one of the best games I’ve ever played.

It’s the only game that truly makes me want to replay it again and again—something I haven’t felt since my teenage years, and now I’m already an adult. Because of this game, I find myself rarely touching other titles, even though there are plenty of great games out there.

This is the only game so far that makes me feel like giving it a score higher than 10—because even a perfect 10 feels not enough, hahaha. I’ve never felt this way about any other game. What’s even more amazing is that this game includes aspects I usually dislike—so just imagine how terrifyingly good it would be if those aspects weren’t there at all!

You’ve done something phenomenal, Larian Studios! Thank you for all your hard work.

pros: detailed and interesting story, character customization, tons of strategy, replayable
cons: incredibly long, buggy, too many boss fights, certain characters are underdeveloped, learning curve (too complicated)

incredibly addictive. i have over 600 hours. yet, it is not my favorite game. it is frustrating to have played this much and to still only be mediocre at the game. astarion, gale, and shadowheart all have interesting stories. every act has its fun parts but every act also has parts that i dread.

The story and role playing in this game is incredibly well done. The combat is really fun but has a lot of issues that makes the use of more intricate mechanics very difficult.

The camera can be ridiculously annoying in combat too. As well as the positioning which can be really difficult to determine how far you need to move at times without getting your movement "deleted" in a sense even though the game told you that you could go a different path that is longer.

For sure it is the best game of its genre. It raises the bar for any similar game in development.
Larian studios did a great job on this title. Unfortunately they will not be continuing with the Baldur's Gate series but I'm very excited to try their new games already in development.

- Infinite Hours of Gameplay -
Regarding Baldur's Gate 3, the first thing that caught my attention is that it has a HUGE amount of content. It is kind hard for me, a regular human, to absorb all of that content. But I tried to do the most I could on a single run. You can interact with anything, choose very different dialogues options that presents different consequences, try different classes, builds, party compositions, fight some battles with unique strategies and so on.

I will probably do one more run, but I'm not the type of guy that keeps playing a single title forever. So I hope I'm able to discover new stuff on this second run.

Also, the quality of the content is amazing. There is some games that offer a lot of stuff, but you clearly see that 90% of it is not polished, which gladly is not the case for Baldur's Gate 3.

- Graphics -
The graphics are not the state of art, but man, it is very good. The best graphics for the genre as well. The part that for sure surpass other state of the art games are the character's dialogue animations, they really seem to be human.

And also, in some particular note, their skin shader is amazing.

- Gameplay -
Hard for me to say, as I'm not a regular player of the genre, but I did played a lot of tabletop RPG and the experience was perfect.
I did a lot of reloading, because sometimes the dices seems to not be on my favor, and still, I was able to make my player experience the way I wanted. Fought the way I wanted, did the story the way I wanted, accepted the challenges the way I wanted. So, that is it.
This role-playing game allowed me to role play the way I want, what more could I ask? More games like this one, that for sure. :)

8+/10 Gra wyśmienita i kompletna.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 became one of my favourite games ever, and BG3 did not disappoint as the next Larian's game.

Thinks I liked:

- more ways to interact with enviroment, thanks to jump/push/throw/dip/improvised weapon actions;
- smoother progression/difficulty curve, as I felt I was roughly at the right level most of the time, and underlevelled fights did not feel as unfair as in D:OS2 (at least on Balanced);
- many interesting boss fights;
- better interactions with companions and intra-party dynamics;
- superb voice acting (some returning from D:OS2);
- strong art direction;
- how the game reacts to even some of the wackiest player's choices;
- inspiration mechanics;
- variery of races and classes;
- good post-launch support.

Things that were ok:
- music, with some outstanding tracks, but overall did not reach D:OS2 heights for me overall;
- variety of items: it is that that almost every other item offers some interesting effect, instead of a simple stats/armor/damage boost, but at some point it became too much cognitive load to process it;

Things that disappointed:
- some class progressions had interesting choices/bonuses at each level (wizard) while others were much more straightforward (barbarian/fighter);
- still had nasty immersion-breaking bugs;
- limited choices in some areas of character creation;
- too much content in Act 3, and overall lasts too long if you try a completionist's approach.

I think that BG3 is a genre-defining game and all the praise is warranted. I was prepared to give it 10/10, but having completed it, I can't sincerely give it that score. D:OS2 did some aspects better, and I feel like I would rather play it again than start a new BG3 campaign. I also wish that the next Larian game is a shorter, more manageable experience, as 100+hrs RPGs are getting exhausting for me. 9/10

Playthrough statistics: 171hrs according to steam (about 145hrs according to ingame counter); Balanced difficulty; completing most of side quests (but inevitably missing some) and doing reloads to see some alternative choice outcomes.

Baldur‘s Gate 3 is everything you need in an RPG:

Positive:
-Great story that is intertwined with the World and the Characters
-Well-written Characters that are voiced by great Actors
-Very fun turn-based Combat (I love that it plays slower)
-Fantastic World with many corners and side quests to explore (I still find new things in my 3rd Playthrough), you can easily spend 100+ hours for a playthrough
-Freedom in Combat, Solutions, Approaches to challenges(!)
-Great Soundtrack
-No additional Monetization
-INSANE Replayability Value
-Plays well on Console

Negative:
-Can be hard to get into
-a little laggy sometimes

(Currently end of act 2) It clearly prioritizes Shadowheart and Lae'zel over every other party member. The others aren't developed nearly enough.
Act 1 felt very open ended and systemic, act 2 less so. I do like that the turn based combat is so much more flexible than most popular systems. Usually the most strategic option in those games is to play one way. However, it is that sandbox quality where it's easy to take advantage of unbalance. In which when the novelty of its various systems wears off, it's not as fun. Perhaps how slow paced the combat is also contributes. Why would do anything but play it safe and lame when compounding mistakes waste an unreasonable amount of time? I do find a lot of aspects of the story and side quests forgettable. Though very impressive in presentation and the systems behind it.

Started with early access and I SCOURED through 90% of Act I, playing a dual-wield rogue, only to find out that its save games weren't going to be compatible with the release version. So, I decided to stop and wait 'til the release version was out.

Full release, starting fresh... so excited! Well, issues with some 3rd party mods tweaked this playthrough and broke the save game mechanism about 2/3 of the way through Act II. Not wanting to go back to a previous, secure save, and redo a lot of the content, I shelved the game for nearly a year.

After watching some YouTube video streams of it, the urge hit to play again. Rather than trying to piece together what had happened prior to my last secure save over a year ago, I decided to start fresh. I'd heard good things about the Bard and multi-classing it, so that's the route I went. Diving back in, I start up Act I... for... the... third... time. This time, I'm getting through this!

Before I go on, I think I need to point out that I'm not a "multiple play-throughs of an RPG (or any other game)" guy. I get why folks do, especially with an RPG: to experience it all with "different tools," via a different character class. It's always been enough for me to go through the whole game once, especially long-storied RPGs like this one.

OK... back to my now, THIRD go-around. I'm about 90% complete with Act II, and as much as it pains me to admit, I'm wavering. I like this game... I REALLY do. CRPGs have always been my jam. It's just gotten to be a bit tedious because there's SO MUCH stuff. I know... that should be a good thing, right? Well, too much of certain things is off-putting for me. Hmm... where to start? Inventory management has become a chore, to the point that I don't want to pick things up anymore, and 3/4 of the magic items are sub-par, anyway. So, "Sell them!", you say. Fine... I now have 30,000 gold stockpiled, with nothing to buy. I'm playing Balanced, and battles are kind of getting repetitive. The same attacks and abilities always seem to work the best. I tried Tactician... Eh, there's strategy and planning, but c'mon. It's just too much sometimes. Repeating the same fight over and over to figure it out (or get the roll I need) is not fun. Save-scumming load times are too long, even with a top-notch rig. OK, OK... drop the completionist attitude, go back to Balanced, and just play out the main quest line in the game. I could do that, but that's a half-arsed solution: Rush through the rest of the game just so I can say, "I finished it"? Nah. I might just be shelving this one again. I'll come back to it.

On the positive side, all of the good things that have been said about this game are 100% true. This is easily one the best-quality games made in the last 20+ years. It's just too long.

This is by far one of the best games I have ever played in my life. It's not my first turn based game, so I was familiar with the gameplay, but it was my first D&D inspired game. It has major replayability and I will absolutely be playing this until the end of time. It took me a month to complete my first full playthrough because I kept getting the urge to make more characters to do things my first character didn't do. Next playthrough will definitely be a Durge playthrough, so that's going to be fun!

Has a couple of issues, but I have never seen better companions in any RPG I played before. These characters could have their own individual game in my opinion. Amazingly written, and insanely strong dramatic aspect. The intricate, well-structured level design is honestly speaking: revolutionary.

I wanna talk about the issues, that I have with Baldur's Gate 3 which are only my opinion of course: I think the beginning of the story, the first half of Act 1 is quite dull and tough to get into, mainly because how the game's story is structured, and the learning curve of the mechanics at the beginning are insane, especially for players who are new to Dnd. I don't really like the combat system overall. Feels limited, and heavily aspires to be tactical, but with minimal options to utilize in only one turn. Yeah, this turn-based combat mechanic sets me off sometimes, because of how random, and unfair it can be. Sometimes the enemy hits twice the damage I deal in the same turn, and vice versa. Even on the Explorer difficulty I struggled a lot.

Overall this game is undeniably a revolution for RPG games. I would not say that this is the best game of all time, but I recognise and understand the insane hype this game gets. And I just wanna quickly mention the voice acting. The voice acting in this game is otherwordly, it is unbelievably amazing.

The amount of content, dialogue, and freedom in this game is unbelievable. The quality is mostly consistent with a few dips here and there. It truly feels like you are in a DND campaign that you can play more than once a week in. The characters are all a pain at the start, but they all find a way to endear themselves to you by the end of their character arcs. A game like this is really something to write home about.

I knew this game was going to be slightly overwhelming, but I didn't anticipate how consuming it would be. It was honestly a ton of fun exploring everything, taking different types of combat from different angles, and enjoying the story unfold in front of me. Characters had a ton of depth and interactions which made the journey even more satisfying. I did run into quite a few bugs, nothing game breaking, and with the scope of this game, it makes sense. I wasn't so much of a fan of the music as a whole, and I wish you could go back to some areas of act 1 and 2 during act 3, but I understand why it wouldn't work. Regardless, this game was great, and Im looking forward to what Larian studios cooks up next.

Lots of variety in how you build your characters and even on normal the game rewards you for thinking outside of the box. I have never played DnD before but it felt like this game captured the experience pretty closely to how I imagined it.

I'm only sad that I won't be able to experience it for the first time again, after having spent the last year and change once a week playing this game :'(

Where to start with BG3. The story is good and pulls you into the world, which brings me back to my days playing D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder. My only downside to this story is that you can destroy a key item for part of the story of the other characters. The book for Shadowheart can be destroyed, and I went into this game blind for a reason. I wanted to play it raw with no guide for anything. I spent two hours looking for that book, only to look it up and realize it was destroyed. Almost quit the game for that.

The Level Design was well thought out, with multiple ways to do things. Now to the characters...I did not use some because they were like getting teeth pulled. Astarion only got used because I needed a rogue. Lae'zal drove me crazy, and of course, that is the one my character connected with. Shadowheart, my favorite one, dies by my hand due to the book being destroyed. Karlach I had to have headphones on because of her use of the F bomb. I did not get Halsin, Minsc, or Minthara because I just missed what to do, which is the fun of it.

Gameplay was fun most of the time, and others were really slow or one-sided. Lae'zal, for me, could not hit a barn if it hit her. It was RNG and I know that, but man, it was hair-pulling bad. Once I got my four, I stuck to them unless I needed someone else for a quest. I ran Gale, Astarion (Rogue), and Wyll (Only because of poor Shadowheart). The NPCs were amazing at times, and can I kill you now at others. I did notice that the game rolls 10 more than any other number. I count that I rolled 10 on the dice 13 times in a roll. That was very unrealistic because I have been playing D&D since the late 90s, and that never happened that many times.

The music was okay, and to be honest, I could not pick out a sound from BG3 if you played it from a list. The Battle System was amazing once you had your team. Using oil or puddles of water, you could turn the battles in your favor. This was spot on with the tabletop, and I loved it, but at times, the game would sit there for a minute with the NPC not doing anything. Well, when there are 10+ NPCs and all of them do this, it is a pain, so 9 out of 10.

Reply is Yes and No. The story was good, but not to go solo again for 100+ hours. I would play again with friends because it would feel like sitting at that table, having fellowship as we play.

Story - 9/10
Level Design - 9/10
Characters - 7/10
Gameplay - 8/10
Music - 7/10
Battle System - 9/10
Reply - 7/10

Well I am enjoying it, the modding is a pain but it took less than a day so it's fine, I like the turn based shenanigans and the rpg mechanics are really well done. +80%

The sound, the sound is pretty good, especially or only? In cutscenes, no they have good songs too, or at least, have songs, which is always a plus. +5%

You know what, it's not a GOOD good game, but it does many many things, and it does those many things really really well, It's impressive and rare but plot and lore wise, it's just like any other RPG, nothing world shuddering, but it IS handled well and executed well, I'm invested like I would be in john wick (havent seen it) , not like in fightclub.

Accidently uninstalled it but I do have my old mods, will see what happens when it happens.

Baldur's Gate 3 is one of the best gaming experiences you will ever have. Sadly, there are a lot of bugs in the game which are generally overlooked by the players since the actual experience is so good, but its not something you should just ignore. Initially when BG3 first came out, I heavily disliked the ending and Act III as a whole due to performance, but after replaying it recently in Honor mode, I had an absolute blast; Act III was smooth for the most part, and the extra epilogue really, and I mean REALLY, made the game's ending better and more satisfying. Patch 8 also introduced new subclasses, including some of my favorites like Hexblade and Bladesinging, so its a wonderful time to get back into the game. Although I don't have my hours listed, I would estimate a clear time of around 60-90 hours depending on how thorough you are.

There isn't a single bad thing I could say about this game, honestly.
