Decent story though quite vague. Great writing, hilarious moments: Gloating guard show off his new holy symbol every time walks past, pissed off wants to shove it up.. dumb skeleton boss trying to pronounce delegation (deli, deelar, dari, peoples). LAck of QOl from official first EE game - namely too much clicking. Final boss fight quite satisfying, though did not enjoy staged fights where you get teleported straight in battle and surrounded with no prep. Collected the Paladin sword side quest. Barb hit extremely hard, whole party late game just depended on her DPS. Pally, Barb, Cleric, Archer, Sorc, and Wizard.Updated 1 Month Ago

I didn't like it as much as Icewind Dale 1. It was longer, but the story wasn't as good. What made the original Icewind Dale was the NPCs, using the NPC mod. I tried it for Icewind Dale II but it wasn't the same - the characters were ok but it didn't resonate with me. That and the length of the game. I beat it, but it wasn't as good I hoped. Probably won't play again (and I played it with the Enhanced Edition mod)Updated 11 Months Ago

A great game following the footsteps of Icewind Dale 2. The game overstays its welcome with it's length. Makes it difficult to consider replaying this due to the sheer time. Considering the developers spent 10 months making this game is very impressive, with what they could achieve. The last infinity engine game to release. This is the most difficult.Updated 1.5 Years Ago

Game of my childhood where I do not remember most of story, but back then I finished 1st and even 2nd game in my mother tongue. I wish I had someone to play this game with now, but I could not find anyone. So my memories of this game will stay locked inside my memory. Perhaps one day I will play it again as I enjoyed it always more with friends.Updated 1.5 Years Ago

It was a pretty fun experience overall, although I have to admit that coming from Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition to this game definitely made me wish for a remaster. The resolution doesn't look that good on a bigger screen but that's ok. What is not ok is the party pathfinding, HOLY SHIT, some enemies are difficult, but my worse opponent was the party's pathfinding, it's seems to take the WORSE possible routes 90% of the time!
It didn't take as long as I thought it would to get used to the different ruleset, it was cooler in some ways since it allows a little more customization using feats.
Although the story was a bit linear it was still very interesting, and the dialogue options for different races and classes are even better in the second game.
To finish, I just have to say that the female drow voiceset is by far the best voiceset of any Infinity Engine RPG.
