Fun little cowboy game. Small open world but cool side mission and cool story. Got repetitive and the game was a bit wonky at points, but not bad for 2005.

The gameplay has aged well, though there are plenty of bugs. Only a little racist. Final boss fight might be one of the worst I've ever suffered through.

One of my favorites growing up and never beat it so I replayed it. Gotta say, it still holds up in 2023. Some janky things like graphics and glitches but for a 20 year old game it gets my mark for one of my favorite ps2 games.

Haven't played this game recently but i did beat it on Gamecube, PSP, Xbox, and Xbox 360. Super fun western shooter. Basically a better Red Dead game with a smaller map and far better gameplay. (Seriously, the only Rockstar game ever made with decent controls was GTA 5. why do you people keep ignoring the terrible controls. Yeah everything else is pretty good about their games, but who cares about any of that when the gameplay is bad.)

Very nice and detail cowboy game, actually nostalgia to play old game, this game has very interesting story with characters, the weapons so satisfying, you can even ride with horse, the weapons and horse mechanics very good, the game has some cool gore and enemy have good AI, then modern games. The bad that the game sounds quality bad, sometimes you can't hear what characters talking, the music is good, but looping is frustrating, because the game have a few sound music, few glitches, bugs, and the bow weapon mechanic bad and the map is confusing.

Fun small game with a good theme. Now some of the subject matter is very problematic in a 2020 context. But it has a tight small world, concise story and knows what it wants to do. Game play is fun, gun play feel nice, riding horses is good. You could turbo through this game very quickly, but there is a lot of side missions to pad your stats and gives more of a reason to play through the game. Solid if you are looking for something in the cowboy theme to play without having to commit to something like Red Dead.

I was fully expecting this to be generic--did not at all think I would particularly enjoy it. But I was actually surprised that this turned out to be a reasonably fun game. Much better than Red Dead Revolver, though the open world gameplay would later be surpassed by Red Dead Redemption.

Spiritual Precursor to RDR from 2005. Very good story, western feeling and sceneries. Good mounted combat and voice acting. Loved the music and map. Sidequests & NPCs needed more work. Texture work is lackluster.

With the name GUN, generic, uninspired, uninformative I both knew nothing about the game going in and expected the worst. I was then surprised that it was a Western game and by how good it was.

The only thing that majorly wrong with the game is that it hasn't aged particularly well, but granted that it's from the ps2 era that's easily forgiven, even with the 30fps cap. Everything about the game just works and works well from horse riding to shooting, it all feels very slick and fun to do, especially as you do side quests and increase your proficiency with the various gameplay mechanics. By the end of the game sniping guys one by one with even normal rifles just feels bad ass. It lost a few points from me towards the end as they start throwing some ludicrous level gimmicks and boss designs that are either unfair or unintuitive, things like one shot kills, infinitely respawning enemies, that sort of thing, especially on Insane difficulty it can become rather annoying. Thankfully it doesn't diminish the overall experience too much, it's a great game, small in scope but very enjoyable to play.

If you're in the mood for an action adventure western, you may enjoy Gun. From cattle herding to saloon poker to outlaw hunting, Gun does its best to be true to its genre. With an above average plot and ace voice acting, Gun also does a good job of immersing you in its world. Simple controls and convenient concessions to the player make Gun feel like a game that isn't wasting your time. That said, Gun's world can often feel shallow and inconsequential given the limited ability of the player to interact with its denizens. The combat though frantic does tend to feel one dimensional after a while, with waves and waves of clone enemies dying to your six shooter left and right. And with a final boss battle that is utterly abhorrent in its design with total disregard to the tone of the rest of the game, a sour taste permeates the final act of the experience. Despite these shortcomings however, most of Gun is indeed entertaining. Gun's beautiful scenic desert tinged vistas deserve to be explored on horseback, just watch out for the bandits.

I really enjoyed this game it was actually a surprise to me, I found it for a dollar at the local pawn shop, and bought it. It sat on the shelf for a long time, and a friend asked to borrow a game, I figured I didn't care about it, if it got damaged, or destroyed, and so they played it, and asked for my help with it, and when I saw it I had to try it too, and then I enjoyed it greatly, it was worth all 100 pennies. Heck I would have gladly payed 10 or 15 dollars for it. Anyway it was a fun game, lots of things to do, some unrealistic moments, and not the greatest of stories, but it was fun to play anyway.

A pretty good game. I remember playing this game when I was younger and enjoying it then too. I picked it back up to go down memory lane again and it was just as good the second time around. The enviroments still look well made and the story is still fantastic to me.
