Is Persona 5 worth the purchase.

So I recently watched Persona 5 The Animation and thought it was pretty damn good. Saw that it originated from a game and was like bet. Is it worth the time and money? If so can anybody give me a run down of where to start?

1000000% worth it. Especially Royal. It's such a good game, even at 70 dollars. It's so long and so fun

Definitely worth it. Persona 5 is one of my all-time favourites.

The anime is not very good when compared to the game.

Persona 5 Royal is absolutely sublime and one of MY all-time favorites, as well. Definitely worth the purchase. It is VERY long, though, so just know what you're getting yourself into.

As for where you might want to start... there is very little connection between the various games in the series. Some thematic elements carry over between games, but it's nothing you need to worry about. You can jump straight to Persona 5. I'd suggest you go with Persona 5 Royal; I haven't played the original version, but from what I've been able to glean, Royal has a lot of quality of life improvements, some new characters that I thought were essential to the storyline, and a much easier trophy list.

I just started Persona 5 Royal (about 10 hours in) and it's really very good.

It took me a while to understand the calendar mechanics, but I think I have the hang of it now and it's really interesting.

The story is superb.

Yeah, its definitely worth the price. I finished persona 5 recently after 160 hrs.
I plan on getting Royal and playing that in the near future.
