Not as good as the first game, but still decent. The Barry storyline was way better than Claire's, and I think they should have just focused on that. The crafting system was neat, but ingredients clog up your limited inventory way too much.

Story - 6.5/10
Gameplay - 7/10
Music - 6/10
Graphics - 5/10
Overall - 6/10

Need to start off by saying the port on vita is ass.
Story wasn't terrible. There's some plot armour and some stupid shit going on but that expected in RE games. Some of the dialogue from Moira was funny so plus points for that.
The game looked ugly on vita. But I'm sure it would've looked decent anywhere else.
Only noticed the ost a few times but the voice acting sounded muffled.
Gameplay was the strong point and the only thing that kept me going, albeit had to OC the vita. I liked the gameplay and it's reminiscent of RE games. Good puzzles, no horror, more on the action side.

Not a must play. Go play other RE games.

Maps : Finding It's maps as subparts , atleast there is game logic

Gameplay : It's ability to play true co-op , switch between ai-you between play and tasks , you learn something on all characters. Except Time delays in game timeline , the story is decent for RE standards .

Character - Moira can autorecover, heal you, use crowbar as weapon , shield for glasp, enemies for short moments

Weapons - Shotguns not good(Many Enemy explode with acid harming you), Sniper (scope not good) , Pistols-Explosives for general and Rifles for horde combat

Bosses - Easy , just move fast , shift weapons well for targets

I rank it's specific dlcThe Struggle , a lot higher than most RE games , at 8.5 (Short , decent story , game play, less QTE , forgives being spotted )

Natalia's dlc, meanwhile, is meh 6 She doesn't throws Bricks here , She needs to learn as it's the only time , she has pre-gameplay technically in that world

While I hated the first hour or so of this pack, this pack of 4 games, totaling in 8 bite-sized episodic campaigns, the latter 7 ½ being good! It's not exactly Resident Evil's finest hour, as the graphics aren't very impressive, the mystery, when revealed, is kinda lame, most puzzles aren't very good and the female characters aren't exactly shining in this entry (Claire is apathetic compared to before, Alex Wesker is an “evil machine” villain, and Moira's only personality is that she hates her father), but overall it's solid overall. The monsters and locations are notably creepy, and there are some moments of genuine tension, where you're simply crouching down, waiting to see if an enemy emerges, and where you're scared to turn the corner because you know that SOMETHING is there, and there's also solid bits of action as well. The 6-month lapse is a decent hook, if making little sense when one really thinks about it (2-3 weeks might have worked better), and almost each of the first 7 pre-finale episodic bits end at great edge-of-your-seat “To be continued” moments. I won't be playing this one over and over again, but I will probably revisit this one once or twice a decade maybe, and the Raid mode, which I only did for about 15 minutes, was genuinely fun! You can buy the whole game as a package and for not too much nowadays, so I'd ultimately recommend it for franchise fans.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 has a lot of the same issues as the first revelations game. It graphics aren’t too good, and the gameplay is pretty average. The puzzles aren’t challenging and the boss fights are mostly forgettable. The biggest let down of this game is the villain.

Apparently she’s a Wesker, which felt like a cheap way to make her more interesting, but she just isn’t. I do like the characters in the game. Miora starts out a little annoying but she gets a lot better as the game goes on. The game brings back Barry who is now a bit older and more jaded. I think they did a good job with Claire’s character, evolving her from the Claire in Re2. Overall Revelations 2 is okay, a bit better than the other revelations but still average. I recommend it if you want to see Claire and Barry some more.

Completed Reident Evil: Revelations 2. Great game, which is many times better than the first part of the Revelations. The narrative is good, it's interesting to play, let the story itself is simple and leaky, but it doesn't matter. Gameplay compared to the first part has also changed and perhaps for the better. I went through on my own, but it would definitely be fun for co-op!

Graphically it's really good, the colour grading is very pleasing to the eye, there are no sunny over-lights and dark locations don't look bad, which is rare. It's kind of a "soft" darkness.

I had fun with it, never once got bored.

The main problem with the game is that it's still the low budget version of Resident, and it's far from the best part to start getting to know the series, but since I'm no longer a newbie, I enjoyed it all.

The cons are that the cutscenes aren't as cool as in the main series, and there will be less bosses. Otherwise, it's a joy. Revelations' theme music is one of the best in the series, and the "in the previous episode of Revelations" insertions are very fitting for the series. That's how I got through it in three days and with those inserts, it was enjoyable.

Passed on the maximum available difficulty for the beginning.

Mikami is spotlighted in the game and seems to be only a level designer, but his hand is very noticeable. The game has ideas of The Evil Within in it, it doesn't ruin the game, just a fact.

Cons:
- This is a low-budget resident
- Enemies and bosses are not enough, as well as weapons

Key pluses:
+ Excellent gameplay that immerses in a sense of flow
+ Episodic system suits the game
+ Pleasantly polished graphics, beautiful shots were more than I expected
+ The potential for a nice co-op game

I will also add about two additional episodes: the first is fun, although the stealth segment is bad, and the second episode consists entirely of stealth and it is bad, and you can run for twenty minutes.

As a result we have an excellent successor of the first part of Revelations, which in scale became a little smaller, but otherwise became noticeably better. I recommend to pass and highly recommend to fans of Resident and co-op.

TOP FUN THINGS TO DO:
⭐️Switching characters to use their abilities.
⭐️Looting and avoiding enemies.

THE UNIQUES:
💎Separated with episodes.
💎One character loots, the other hunts.

PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS:
💼Survival Horror.
💼Zombies.
💼Action.

VERDICT:
This RE is a little different to the rest, the main point being your partner DOESN'T have a firearm which makes things a little more interesting when swapping back and forth, it's a neat little twist and found it quite refreshing. Everything else is more or less like the other RE's, there's new and old characters thrown in with their stories pretty good.

Some of the lines they come out with are a little strange and didn't feel like that in the other RE's but nothing to knock this games score. The major knock would be the pricing, it's divided into four episodes with two extra episodes which are very short. The total is £28 and it's honestly not worth that price.
Total Score = 61/100.

GAMEPLAY:
The game is a follow up to Resident Evil: Revelations and Resident Evil 5. It marks the return of Claire Redfield as the protagonist, and the first time Barry Burton is a playable story character in the main series.

The story begins when Claire and her co-workers, including Barry Burton's daughter Moira Burton, are at a party in the headquarters of the NGO TerraSave, when they are attacked by unknown assailants and taken away to a deserted island in the Baltic Sea.

ENGLISH
By far, this is one of the best in the Resident Evil franchise up to the 7th generation of consoles, surpassing even RE 6. This game is certainly an evolution of Revelations 1 in terms of gameplay and combat mechanics, even though it is a lower budget, the graphics were very good in my opinion, the haunting and even macabre theme made the game have a very good horror feel.
The story is good, and the way of telling it is also easy to understand, the ending is satisfactory and there is a replay factor that helps you want to play the game again
I believe that the only bad part is in the extra episodes where the plot of these stories are good, but the execution is poor, as they recycle scenarios from the main campaign.
And in the main campaign, I think the only "weaker" part is the issue of Stealth, the game encourages you to use this system, but it is often flawed.
But overall it's a great Resident Evil, it's worth it

I played Resident Evil Revelations 2 twice over the years, the first time I recall liking it, the 2nd time I liked it less but now on a 3rd playthrough, Rev 2 might actually be one of my favorite games in the series. I played this for a 3rd time at all because Lambhoot made a video praising Rev 2 and called it the "Resident Evil game they keep remaking". He showered the game with praise and also said it was better than the recent Resident Evil 4 remake which is a game I really like. I also liked that he actually enjoys action RE besides RE4 so I decided to play Rev 2 a 3rd time.

First impressions were admittedly awful especially playing Episode 1 and 2 with Claire. I was constantly low on ammo and at times any at all to out enemies at all, the stealth hardly if ever worked properly, the game just overwhelmed me with numerous enemies waves while being underpowered for almost every encounter. The game would introduce stuff like gunk and bleeding that would cover up the screen adding extra steps to getting hit by enemies, and worst of all the dodge command needed to be upgraded in order to be anywhere close to be useful. I was getting frustrated and annoyed. The episode 2 mini boss fight that bookended Claire's section was enough to drive me into a rage with how you needed to deal with a mini boss, while enemies are attacking very little ammo was given.

What carried Episode 1 and 2 were the Barry Burton sections since stealth actually worked as intended, I actually had enough ammo to take on the enemy waves and I loved how it homaged Resident Evil 2 1998 where you would revisit previous levels you visited as Claire but now played out in a different way when you played as Barry and Natalia. On top of that, Barry's enemies were more interesting since with Revenants you need to worry about damaging them in the body and then have their weak spot pop and then you can kill it.

Gasps are an enemy that is going to be divisive among people since they can kill you with a single hit on full health but I found these sections to be tense I would often have to really be careful on where my shots would land while they are slowly getting close, and to counter act the one hit kill, these enemies go down in a few hits so it felt balanced to me.

Then Episode 3 happened, and the game starts consistently getting good. The Claire section in Episode 3 has an interesting enough balance of traps and enemies to keep you on your toes and my personal favorite design, the zombies you kill have a chance of turning into exploding monsters so I always had to watch out, the ammo distrubution started to get more consistent as Claire too. It makes fighting the Executioners and Vuclanbubblers more tolerable. The only big issue with the Claire section is that the Neil Fisher boss is a damage sponge and once you figure to use Moria's flashlight during the fight, he isn't so much challenging as does take forever to go down.

Then as Barry in Episode 3, I discovered you can just have bandages and disinfects be carried by your partner making this part of the aspect of the game more tolerable.

Slowly more aspects of Rev 2 I started to appreciate. Like it had the most refined movement in action RE. You can move while shooting, no tank controls of RE 2005, knife is a dedicated button, the inventory isn't awful like RE5 and 6, you have an actual dodge command that is useful when upgraded. My only big gripe is that killing enemies while they are down requires your partner instead of something the character with a gun can use.

Barry's section, I also like as down time where you fight zombies that are easy but it's more about finding where to go and solving puzzles to get Natalia across like the bridge and sewer sections.

A massive part of me was losing his mind towards the RE1 mansion homage towards the end of the game. While this mansion isn't as complex as the Spencer Mansion, it was a nice way to change up the game and a decent attempt at fan service since you are playing as Barry. The part where you had to navigate a poisonous gas mine was decent enough since you had to be careful on how long you can explore the level before you slowly reach a game over state, it helps counteract the fact that you lots upon lots of ammo in this part. I know I complained about a lack of ammo but later parts of the game showers you with it.

One major gripe I have with the game is that around Episode 4, the game starts to get a lot easier, the only geniunely challenging part is when there is collapsing building as Claire and you have to deal with gasps without Natalia. There were many cheap deaths since I would run into them since the level is playing out like a scripted set piece.

Alex Wesker's final boss is a pushover since I was rolling in ammo and herbs by that point. The sniping section was decent if one note.

Overall, Rev 2 is a really good game and gets consistently good once Episode 1 and 2 as Claire is over. This was a well made action RE game.

After playing Revelations 1, I didn't expect much. I'm happy to say this entry far exceeded my expectations.

The story was good.
The graphics were good, though I installed a mod to unlock 4k resolution.
Speaking of mods, I had to install a fix just to get the game to launch.
Voice acting was actually pretty decent and I loved the characters, especially Barry.
The atmosphere was fantastic. It's everything RE5 should have been.
Gameplay mechanics - including puzzles, gun play, control, ect. were great!

I don't recall running into any bugs in the main campaign. The bonus episode "The Struggle" crashed towards the end and I lost all the progress because of the way the episode works (you can't save). While I enjoyed it, I didn't feel like restarting it.

Very good entry in the series.

I enjoyed this game. It had some really creepy elements, and the story was decent. I also liked the locations (except the underground sections, like the mines and sewers).

The characters were quite good, and I liked how they intertwined. I'm not fully sold on the 2-character control element, however it was done much better than in prior games (i.e. RE5 and RE:Zero). One real pain-point though is they seem to have steered away from having a main map - you can only see your immediate surroundings in the mini-map in the corner, which is pretty useless when exploring.

Overall, very fun. Definitely worth playing between working through the main RE titles.

+ Combination of survival horror and more action packed gameplay.
+ Story told from two perspectives/main characters and time jumps are well executed.
+ Runs fine performance-wise.

+- Graphics and visual style suffice, but are nothing special (even considering it's an 8 year old game).

- Exploration / puzzle aspects are pretty much non-existent.
- The story isn't too bad for a spin-off game, but the plot is easy to predict.
- Recycled levels between both perspectives/main characters.

Atmosphere reminds me of Evil Within 1, blood, rust, weird mutated enemies, it's all there.

Oh and on Nintendo Switch graphics looks amazing, stable 60FPS. Only weird net on the center of view when playing on TV, but it only appears in dark places, not so much of an issue.

Wonderful RE game. I liked the Co-op mechanics, though sometimes it felt like Player 2 didn't have much to do. Overall, a pretty good RE game. The story was fascinating, and I liked most of the characters. Needed to explain more about Neil, though.

PROS:
- Co-op
- Jump scares
- "The monster! The monster is coming!"

This is not a good RE game. It uses cheap gameplay mechanics like obscuring the view or one-shot attacks without warning. The story is not interesting at all, very basic level design, way too hard in normal mode... A waste of time. RE Revelations 1 is much better.

Rev 2 definitely feels like an improvement but it's still trying to be too many different things and feels disposable. Rev 1 was a mediocre action game and a mediocre survival horror game. Rev 2 continues this but is also a mediocre stealth game and a mediocre co-op game as well. All of these pieces are decent but none of them are great. This is really the end of the action-era of RE, with the franchise massively rebounding with RE7 and the 2 remake.

It's now divided into 2 parallel campaigns where you play as Claire and Barry. You play an hour of one and then an hour of the other. This is an improvement over the side-chapters in Rev 1 but the back and forth doesn't add much to me. It's also a clear excuse for them to make you play a lot of areas twice. You play level 1 as Claire then level 1 as Barry. The second half of the game is completely different for each character but the first half recycles a lot. It's sort of like if RE1 or RE2 forced you to play both campaigns. There is some light campaign interaction like RE2 but you won't understand it until it's too late. Definitely google how to get the good ending when you start chapter 3, the method is incredibly stupid.

The other main note is the focus on co-op. Claire and Barry both have a side character that can't use guns and fills a supportive role, identifying enemies or stunning them. This is actually kind of interesting as they'll fill different roles and heighten the survival elements over raw shooting. Claire's campaign feels like Alan Wake while Barry's feels like Last of Us. I played this with a friend on release and it is a good time, though you'll surely both want to play as the main character. I definitely recommend it if you have a friend around. In solo, you're able to switch back and forth, which I like more than RE5/6 where you're locked into one.

The horror is still pretty minimal like Rev 1. The plot is less awful than Rev 1 but still laughable nonsense that the series has since ignored. The focus on co-op and having a partner still detracts from the horror, as in the other co-op RE's. Inventory management is an improvement over Rev 1 and 6 but the status effects are really annoying. Was anyone really upset that RE4 removed poison? There is some exploration and puzzles here but it's less than the boat section of Rev 1. Like Rev 1, the levels themselves are extremely ugly and repetitive and lack the intrigue that most RE settings have. They have abused the color brown here and leaned into torture porn too much to where it feels more like Silent Hill (in a bad way).

The gun upgrade system is the same as Rev 1 but like that game, you're not given enough upgrades for there to be any major choices (and I explored thoroughly!). This is worsened by this having two characters, as they don't share upgrades and start from zero. There's also a perk skill tree but you can only buy stuff when you die or between a chapter.

Rev 2 is definitely better than Rev 1 and is worth a play if you've got a friend around but otherwise is still very skippable. It's an 8 if you play in co-op and a 7 in single player. Don't go out of your way to play it.
