Bah c'est très cool, une bonne extension pour compléter cette masterclass qu'est RE4. Separate ways est beaucoup plus court que le jeu principal (4-5h) et c'est pour le mieux car revivre les memes chose que la campagne principale aurait vite été lassant. Mais non on a le droit a de nouveaux décors, de nouveaux boss (pesenta, martinico, saddler) , et evidemment de nouvelles cutscenes et dialogues avec Ada Wong, toujours un perso sympa de la franchise. Enfin ce dlc sans rien revolutionner vaut quand meme le détour avec beaucoup de points sympa

Ada a toujours autant de flow et est toujours aussi cool, c'est intéressant de voir la POV d'Ada sur le jeu de base, la mise en scène est toujours aussi propre et SURTOUT c'est pas trop long donc nickel

Après y'a pas masse de nouveautés et quand on a fait le jeu, ça fait quand même très répétitif : on a l'impression de jouer à une version speedrun de RE4 et c'est dommage de pas avoir de lieu inédit

Donc ça se fait tranquillement juste histoire de replonger dans l'univers de RE4 qui est chanmé

A great DLC and I really want more games to follow the design of this DLC, it was so enjoyable seeing all the different parts of the game that changed after the base games main character made their way through them. Most of the bosses are enjoyable with one exception being quite annoying. There was so many little details to spot if you paid attention but weren't necessary to see if you are racing through the game.

A fantastic DLC with some very fun additions to the base game through extra story telling to the point I couldn't put it down and beat it all in one sitting.

I definitely felt like I got my moneys worth in this DLC. While it doesn't do anything mind bogglingly interesting on its own, it's still a fun set of new gameplay in a very enjoyable game with enough new mechanics thrown in to justify its existence.

I wouldn't say they knocked it out of the park with this one but it met my decently high expectations.

Separate ways was a surprisingly worthwhile DLC which didn't overstay its welcome. With short chapters and snappy combat, it delivers as a more challenging and combat-focused experience than the base game. The only downside—a MAJOR one—is Ada's god awful voice acting in the English dub, especially compared to Wesker, and of course, Leon.

Now, I usually play Resident evil games in English but Ada's lifeless, monotone voice almost made me switch to Japanese, maybe they ran out of budget for Ada's voice actress and just grabbed some random girl off the street? I don't know. What I do know is that this DLC would have been a 8/10 if not for Ada's dogshit dialogue.

Good DLC, terrible voice acting—6.5/10.

It's fine. I like how it recontextualizes areas throughout the game. Ada's cool. It just doesn't really do anything unique or special. It's just like RE4, but with shorter levels and less puzzles and plenty of rehashed cutscenes.

This DLC is phenomenal as well man. It takes the basic story of the first game but tells it from Ada's perspective and gives more of an insight into her character and what she's been up to, it also introduces AW into the story with how he'll go into RE5. Just amazing, it takes the gameplay of Leon but adds some items like a grappling hook and more in depth AR tracking items etc that Ada would have whilst still keeping the merchant and some side quest stuff. It still keeps the shop where you can get additional outfits etc and is a short but amazing DLC campaign that is very much worth it after the main game is finished. The genuine only gripe I have with it is Ada's voice actor which at times sounds off and I definitely prefer the RE2 version. However, this doesn't take away from this amazing DLC

Its more Resident Evil 4 Remake. I don't like how it was a DLC and a secondary thing I needed to buy but other than that it was fun. Ada plays mostly like Leon with the only exception being that she can grapple to melee people. The story was also good just felt that it was a little short and a bit to cutscene heavy. Otherwise it was good, 9/10.

My Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways review

It's a bit more of the same which is why I've rated it so high, but it's also why I haven't rated it as high as the main game (which was a deserved 10/10 in my opinion).

What I liked:
* I like Ada a lot. Her outfit, her voice, her demeanour. Nothing phases her.
* I like the slightly quicker traversal with the grappling hook.
* Red9 is back!
* The grenade launcher made soup out of the final boss before he could even speak.

What I didn't like:
* It's a repeat of the same areas, the same enemies.
* It feels a bit less memorable, because the story is interwoven with the story of Leon and Ashley.
* The stun locking doesn't feel great. I know I'm not great at games like this, but I wish I wouldn't be stun locked when I'm hit for such a long time. Let me run away and dodge please.

What's next??? Seriously! Announce a new game please!

Me molesta hacer reseñas tan cortas, pero poco más se puede decir de esta expansión que no dijera ya del juego base.

Coge el material original, respeta su esencia, introduce los cambios justos y necesarios y el resultado es que lo eleva a un altar mucho más alto.

Puede criticarse que esta expansión no viniera en el juego base, aunque su bajo precio pone en perspectiva cualquier crítica, pero el resultado es tan redondo, que se hace difícil mantener dicha posición negativa.

Todo lo que parecía recortado en el juego abse encuentra aquí su acomodo, ofreciendo otra aventura con un ritmo perfecto, que sabe cuando reitilar escenarios preexistentes y cuando expandir y meter situaciones nuevas.

En definitiva, ya el Resident Evil 4 original fue un puntal de la industria hace dos décadas. Este remake lo mejora en absolutamente todo, pudiendo configurar la mejor reimaginación de la historia de esta industria. Y su competencia, viene de la misma Capcom...

Phenomenal DLC! Whereas RE4 2005's Separate Ways felt like a (fantastic) bonus mode, this feels more like a proper counterpart to Leon's story, similar to Claire/Leon's different playthroughs in RE2. Ada is cool as hell, and I loved all her grappling hook and spy-themed gameplay/music twists and her unlockable outfits (flowy dress yaaay)! All her new scenes with Luis are a joy too. The village and castle sections are incredible, but (just like the original game and Leon's campaign here) I feel like the island section is a little more muddled - still an amazing game overall though!

A great DLC. It is totally worth it and maintains the quality of the base game, in addition to adding new mechanics that make Ada feel like a character with her own gameplay based on her skills. The stories connect perfectly and she feels very good. The bosses and extra scenes that tell additional story details are also great.

In an age where DLC for single player experiences are more and more rare, Separate Ways gives a nice side store for one of Resident Evil's most iconic characters, Ada Wong. While the experience is short and sweet, it is definitely worth it's $10 price tag and I would definitely recommend for any Resident Evil fan.

Excellent DLC. Perfect companion to the main game. It's neat seeing/playing Ada's point of view throughout the main story, especially when you encounter these familiar moments that you recognize from Leon's story. Feels more linear than the main game, in terms of exploration and merchant "side quests". And yet, you can tell they packed in as much as possible (eg, making sure Ada encounters all of the notable enemy types from the main game).
