Kings Quest 6 is a stand out game for having an interesting story through the entire game, puzzles that don't feel as guide-dangit as previous entries, and for fixing most of the problems the previous entries have. While I liked the text entry in previous games, this game no longer features pixel-perfect walking, which is a huge benefit. The entire game is voice acted like KQ5, and while the quality is slightly improved, this time they also included subtitles. This game even features multiple paths and endings. Overall, this has been the epitome of the series.

The best King's Quest game by a country mile. It has a fascinating attention to detail, wonderful voice acting (well, mainly the narrator) and puzzles that actually make sense. Alexander remains the most interesting Daventry noble, and this game's plot is a joyous adventure taken in the belief that love conquers all.

Fun game, but the dead endings knock it down a LOT.
