General Thoughts
In my personal opinion, Higurashi is a mystery Visual novel series with excellent mystery but with some unsatisfying answers to those mysteries and a decent ending

Spoiler Review
Finally the good ending the cast deserved, I found the ending a bit cliche especially where Rika stops the bullet when time is stopped out of nowhere (like why the hell even Hanyuu go to Takano in the first place, it just felt like artifical tension created just for the sake of it, I personally would have been quite satisfied if Takano blew her brains out to be honest) and Takano being sympathized and forgiven, in my opinion it was a fine ending to the game but my dissatisfaction of knowing that all the mysterious thing in the story were caused by Hinamizawa Syndrome and hallucinations still remains, like I get the reason and it's understandable but I still find the explanation unsatisfying, It was unknown but I hope that Takano and the Mountain Dogs got the punishment they deserve for planning such mass massacre and I don't really get why the government would have ordered the mass massacre of the village on other timelines in the first place, since it was obvious that the villagers going insane after 48 hours of death of "queen carrier" was not proved ever since it was first told in Chapter 7 and I think that they would have at least tested and put the village in strict curfew instead of just mass murdering everyone that just felt too unrealistic, and honestly breaks the explanation of the mystery for me

Recommended: Yeah, read with 07th mod, I recommend to play at least until the end of Chapter 3 because I think Chapter 3 is a masterpiece personally

By underrated they probably mean games which they think are not much discussed and overally not so popular today

It's funny I also had the same experience with the final boss except, instead of Freya it was Vivi, I was having so much trouble beating him and being defeated over and over again, when Vivi was the only one alive, I have lost all the hope but lo and behold that little guy with auto regen and some potions eventually destroyed the final boss and one more thing, you have said that the enemy encounters were perfect but I thought there were too many especially because of how long the initial transistion takes (I played in PS1 emulator) it felt agonizing and I personally thought that boss battle were fine and not that hard expect the final boss

I agree with all your other points especially the part about Vivi's character growth feeling less natural and early to mid-game story being the strongest

I found another thing here lol, if you don't add .png suffix or I guess any image format suffix at the end the image won't show lol, my original imgur link was https://imgur.com/pcK6Fk4 but the image just wouldn't show up without adding .png at the end like this: https://imgur.com/pcK6Fk4.png

I am nitpicking here but when you play an hour of the game it shows as "Played 1 Hours" instead of "Played 1 Hour"

Motion sickness sucks man I just played 32 mins of Portal and felt sick and dizzy for more than an hour, I hate it so much, my FOV slider is cranked up to max but I still can't fix my issue, I have now finally become normal after having dinner otherwise I was very very sick before eating even though I wasn't that hungry. Does anybody who also suffers from motion sickness has any suggestion for me, lately I am dropping games left and right due to motion sickness even though I like the game, I guess I am gonna retire portal too even if I don't want to because playing it makes me feel miserable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's weird tho all games which makes me feel motion sickness are 3D games but not all 3D games make me feel motion sickness like I can play Yakuza 0 just fine, I wonder why's that

There are a lot of inconsistencies in light mode in the website
Here are some of which I found:

- The HTLB icon looks weird


- IMO, the main body of the home page doesn't go well with light mode


- General Info in user profile looks inconsistent with light background


- This also looks inconsistent, I don't really know it's name lol


- The border of answering machine looks inconsistent


- Some elements of the page of writing a comment in a thread looks inconsistent


- This looks horrendous, I am sorry


Btw, I really like the pink background in the profile and I have another suggestion, provide a way to change background image in the profile too

@e6_4KOkGsp The unskippable scenes were indeed annoying, but the rest of it was fun. Hope you have fun when you get around to it!

@Fireryyo I’m starting a Ratchet & Clank game now but I’ll queue up Tomba 2 right after it. I did love the first one so I think it’ll be a great time.

Well I've put more than 12 hours now and I'm sorry since its your favourite FF but its just not clicking for me. I'm still waiting to get invested with the world or characters or even the gameplay(like you usually do with any FF game) and it just doesn't seem to be happening yet. I think i might try my hand with a different FF honestly.

@Ashwinder The Gen 1s actually helped me out a lot. I hoarded the EMPs and boosted their Rush Attack+Demolisher Blades and they were mostly able to handle the bigger Kaiju on their own. The Gen 3s... well, Minami's Wide Railgun was pretty handy. The Stun Knuckles not so much.

Retired: Hitman: World of Assassination

It's a pretty good game, but playing it made me feel very dizzy and made my eyes heavier, I felt nausetic and I don't think I should continue playing this. Also there is no FOV Slider built in as well.

I just played about an hour of this game and at the 15th puzzle, it's quite fun and unique, I like it!

General Thoughts
So a lot of the answers to the mysteries were given, I personally found the first half boring and repetitive, in the second half, it was revealed that it was Takano who actually killed Tomitake and she is still alive, I was right in my suspicions lol, and then it's revealed that it's all the work of a right wing group to Kill Rika, and it was Takano and mountain dogs who demoned away people, I don't really get what do they get from killing Rika though other than making Takano's fantasy come true, I get that they were trying to cut budget of the research but how did Takano get so many people on her side to do such insane thing?, I might have forgotten something because aL LOT was explained, I know they killed Rika too have excuse to exterminate the entire village, but what do they get out from this other than Takano feeling like god, why are so many mountain dogs cooperating with her for such insane reasons, wasn't their goal to just cut funding, why couldn't they just do that, what could Irie even do about it, I think nothing, btw I might have forgotten when the game explained exactly why so many members of Mountain Dogs were with Takano for killing Rika chan, I was very sleepy when Rika-chan was lore dumping all the stuff to her friends

Okay so I just played for about an hour and it was really fun. Love the moody atmosphere fits right up my alley, art and sound are gorgeous so far. Really like the mechanic of building up a meter to refill your hp by attacking enemies to encourage risks and aggressiveness. Gonna have to stop here for today.

Also for some reason the game doesn't allow you to capture clips on Switch, which is a shame since I did some cool shit but oh well.

Glad you seem to be enjoying it, it's a really beautiful game and I really enjoyed it's world and gameplay, it's one of my favourite game!

So I played about an hour of this game

It's exactly how I expected, I heard that this game has some intense scenes and it had them, the first scene is so over the top that I can't take it seriously at all, the setup of some dude and his female classmates and his english teacher being trapped in a game and has to be raped by the protagonist to be saved and be free and if anybody disobeys they have to be executed feels so cheap and unoriginal, every character is generic and boring, I am at the part where I chose one girl and now I have to explore the main room, I am quite certain that this game will heavily rely on cheap shock scenes and doesn't really have a good story at all, I might drop it or not I am not really sure let's see where it goes, eh fuck it I am dropping it I think it will be a waste of time for me, I am not really enjoying the story and I am not that much interested in where it goes

You can always watch a cutscenes movie or a playthrough of it. The only people who really praise RDR2's gameplay are super hardcore Rockstar fanboys or people who really value immersion in games. It was pretty much the game that exposed Rockstar's open world mission design as rigid and borderline on rails.

I do like the story or at least the parts I remember from it but I am not even sure how much of my enjoyment of the game came from how intense and riveting the act of playing it was.

I think I will play it later and not watch a playthrough, but yeah I didn't really like the gameplay, the gunplay feels boring, the horse likes to spin around it circle and be a dick every once in a while, I keep doing random stuff like punching my horse, I don't really mind the slow animations and taking guns off horse, I love to use my bow and arrow in every chance I get, the game is goregeous tho and I like the map but once I turned off the game I didn't find much motivation or desire to open it again and unfortunately I have been spoiled about Arthur getting a disease , I think TB and dying at the end

I did enjoy the game when I played it tho, but for some reason I just didn't open it, I will take my time and play the game later I guess, I hope the part of the story that I got spoiled in doesn't affect my experience much

If I'm allowed to do this again for another person since kSlank was skipped before, I would pick Dragon Quest VIII for you :)

It's been more than 2 months since I played the game, I was 13 hours in and I don't really remember much, I will play it one day I swear but right now I am not feeling it.

July 4th - Wonderful Everday: Down the Rabbit Hole (Subarashiki Hibi) : To be very honest, I didn't really enjoy this visual novel, A lot of scenes felt unnecessary and characters likes to yap a lot about philosophical stuff and books from which I felt bored a lot of the times, It does have some good moments and I especially liked one particular chapter called "Looking glass insects" because it handled the themes of bullying and rape quite well and how those experiences affect someone, I also enjoyed the first chapter because how laid back it was and I was just enjoying the great music and artstyle of the game and I enjoyed the second chapter because of how mysterious it was and I was craving for answers at the end, however even if I get what story the game is trying to tell, I just couldn't enjoy other chapters than the ones I just mentioned.

Rating: 6.3/10

July 10th - INSIDE: I liked this game, I found the puzzles interesting and the atmosphere was good, don't have any strong opinions about it!
Rating: 7/10

July 21st - Higurashi When They Cry - Chapter 6: Tsumihoroboshi: This is my second favourite chapter of Higurashi after Chapter 3, I really enjoyed the story writing, it's good that's all I have to say without spoiling it haha.
