Gave it the prescribed 1 hour... A kid who turns into a cat to eat a bird, then an owl to kill and eat two rabbits, then a shark to stalk, kill, and eat a seal, and finally some sort of snake thing on the deck of a boat. What. The. Actual. F---? Add insult to injury the KB + M controls are pretty bad.Not for me.

There is only so much you can do on a walking simulator before the gameplay gets bland and this game managed to maximize the story so that it wont overstay its welcome. The tragic tale of an unusual family living in the Finch's estate was wonderfully constructed. The place was full of lore and details that strengthen the narrative to greatness.Updated 1 Week Ago

I locked in so hard I didn’t even realize I had been playing for 3 hours. Man does this family have bad luck.Loved the interactive style with the narration appearing in the direction you needed to go and how creative the storytelling was for each memory. Using a different medium that directly related to each character was a great choice. The comic book and the camera were particular stand outs.
Exploring the house with all its secrets and hidden passages was so engaging and rewarding. Also loved that Edie gave all her pet birds these silly names that rhymed and then there’s her pet snake Bob.

One of my favorite Indies, always such a gem to replay. I would recommend this game a million times over.
I used to keep a tradition of playing it yearly, thinking I'll start that over again

Good game for a 2-hour night. Various types of gameplay that are well presented. You guess the end of the story quite soon in the game but you still want to discover every story. Will do another run in a few months b/c I missed a story and I want to have them all. Favorite story was the one of the guy creating a world in his mind while chopping fishes heads, very refreshing change of gameplay.Too expensive for the time to play. Must be in promotion to buy.

I'm insanely critical on endings as they are VERY imp to me , this one is pretty good. Not the best or incredible but and nice way to finish it off.

This game (or experience) was a masterpiece. I went in knowing nothing and leaving learning about a tragic family line. All the stories were fleshed out and emotional. This is one of the most creative games I have played. On the surface it might seem like a walking simulator but there's a lot more to it. It's also short which is another reason this is a must play. While not loud or in your face, the music was also good. I can't commend the creativity enough in this game, from a game inside a game, a masterfully written poem, a baby's imagination, to hallucination inducing trips, this is a game I won't forget any time soon.Updated 3 Months Ago

It's interesting to see that when you add a walking simulator to a story game, you become much more invested in the story. I also think the graphics and visuals of the game are really cool, especially for such a small game. The sounds and music are subtle and fit the game well. I think the pacing is very well done, how you slowly learn more about the main character through the stories. All in all, an interesting story that is told in an enjoyable way.Updated 3.5 Months Ago

Nice and linear as far as progression is concerned. You will rarely get lost or turned around. I really appreciated that aspect. It's not a horror game at all, but it does feel a bit eerie at times. I didn't pick up the game for the longest time because I thought it was going to be something that had jumpscares, but there were none.
I feel like I missed a lot during my playthrough, and I feel like my experience kinda suffered because of it. I still enjoyed the game though. It was a fun relaxing ride on a rainy evening.

What a unique experience this was.Another game about love, loss, and grief—but told in a way that feels entirely its own. Each room in the Finch house becomes a window into a life, with every detail reflecting the person who once lived there. Some stories felt magical, others tragic, some deeply unsettling—but each one was unforgettable.
The writing is poetic, layered, and woven seamlessly into the environment. The title itself is both literal and symbolic, and the game manages to feel hopeful and heartbreaking at once.
I’m far from an experienced gamer, but this felt special—like something only games can do. I’ll be thinking about this one.

Норм бродилка-ходилка. Забавно, как люди умирают. В целом история норм, но короткая — назвать это игрой... ну, такое себе. После прохождения захотелось на завод резать карасей.Стиль

What a game! This thing was filled with emotion, beauty, and mystery. The gameplay was very minimal, but that was fine since the story carried you throughout it all. It was short and sweet, which gets no complaints from me. I'm so glad I played this thing; what a masterpiece.Updated 5 Months Ago

This is what happens when art becomes a videogame. I can say without exaggeration that it is the most immersive game I have ever tried and it is a cocktail of emotions, story after story, each one exceptionally narrated, in original, varied and interactive ways. Very uniquely told story about a woman who seeks to uncover the truth about the many members of her family that have passed away in her ancestral home. The gameplay makes each Finch's personality shine through as you experience their last moments through their eyes. Definitely worth the time spent.Updated 6 Months Ago

Yeah, it's impressive. I wasn't in the right mindspace for it though; really, I'm not sure if I ever will be, but I would've loved this at another time in my life. Nevertheless, it's such a poignant, creative experience. Astoundingly creative, frankly. Games as art and all that. Another knock against this, through no fault of its own, is that I'm still in the early phases of using my Steam Deck, so fiddling with the settings and getting used to gaming on a handheld screen once more didn't make this the optimal experience. But yeah, try this if you enjoy strong storytelling and ambitious storyboarding.

On completing the game, I would say that I have mixed emotions. I think the execution and the overall style in storytelling is very creative and unique. I found myself quite immersed in the world. However, the story itself was not very satisfying. After learning about the first few members of the Finch family, you sort of understand the cycle and then it becomes somewhat repetitive. I often found myself getting more and more annoyed as I went through each story. I mean each story was different and the way it was communicated was definitely immersive and unpredictable but the end is more or less the same. I don't know if there is some hidden element that I might have missed. Something that could be crucial to the story. I don't know but this is what I currently feel. I will get back to this review maybe after fully absorbing the experience.Regardless of what I think about the story, I must say that this game really embraced the fact that it's a game. As in, it managed to share a story in a way which is different from a movie or a book. It kind of shows the untapped potential the medium has.

- Problemas: Nenhum.
- Veredito: 5.5/10.

I heard from a lot of people that this game was great, but I knew nothing about it, so I threw myself into the game without any expectations. The game is short, and there is not a lot of gameplay; it's mostly a walking simulator. But the story behind this girl and her family is gripping, and you will want to know more. The life of every character is told in a unique and personal way.
I'm really impressed by the quality of the art. They put a lot of effort into making the house feel real, lived-in, and unique. Every character has their own room with their own personality. The house is big and fun to discover.
I really enjoyed the game; it felt like watching a good movie.
