Rare has really put in the work, damn near everything I once complained about has been fixed, and a ton of new content has been added. It's in a really, really good state for new and returning players now. I would definitely recommend this game.

Just wasn't exactly my type of gameplay loop. But I was there mostly to hang out with friends, and it's a perfect game to chill with your buddies and chat about dumb shit, while doing random shenanigans.

Absolutely no tutorial just throws you in like Minecraft does where it expects you to play 15 hours just to figure out how to do basic things it could tell you in a 30 minute tutorial. Absolutely killed me already minimal interest in the game. How are they hoping to get new players when there's absolutely no easy way to get into the game.

On top of that the game is not cohesive, the missions are boring, and there's lots of game-breaking bugs.

Absolute waste of time.

Adding this on here. Have played it plenty of times of the years, but I've never understood the appeal.

To me, Sea of Thieves is an ocean wide but only a puddle deep. There's simply no appeal to playing this game solo. With friends it can be fun for a while, and even hilarious. But I don't know how much credit I want to give it for that. Isn't everything better with friends?

To me, it's simply mediocre, and I don't get why it has such a niche community. Those people must have a squad they play with each time. The minute you play this game solo you'll instantly see how shallow it is. It has nothing of value to offer for a solo player, and I have to score it low because of that.

I can't believe that a Pirate PvPvE game is my most played game. I think it has to do with the combination of diferent aspects. Artstyle which looks great and also gives good performance even on older systems. Sound and music in this game is top notch and I give extra points for that in every game. Every lobby is different and makes the multiplayer feel fresh. And finally the fact that there is High Risk High Reward system makes your adrenaline flow. It's not a 10/10 because it escalated to a competitive game which I think it's not since there is not good hit registration in this game and also there is tons of RNG elements. After CS:GO probably the best multiplayer game for me.

Edit 2024: Yeah on christmas 2023 I decided to end this addiction to FOMO Live Service games, let's play more games, less grinding, more stories. Don't get me wrong, this game still is one of the best MP games I played, all in the simple high risk high reward factor. Altought towars the end everything got easier

Decent game for pirate lovers, I preferred more the AC IV Black Flag, but for multiplayer adventures and memes its a good game. I dont think you can find better in it's genre on a market, but its really a niche so I can't rate it higher if it didn't soak me in.

With over 900 hours of playtime split between console and pc, I can confidently say that this game is enjoyable under certain circumstances. Sea of Thieves will and will always be better when played with friends. Even with the various events and quests provided in the game, you must accept that the reward is gaining gold and doubloons, which only allows you to buy cosmetics. If you aren't the type of player who is interested in grinding for cosmetics, your longevity in enjoying the game will most likely fall short once you become a pirate legend. While there is a storyline, it is very boring especially if you only attempt to complete the commendations during your playthrough. Doing so really robs you of understanding the tales, since you will be using 85% of yourself to focus on trying to complete the required tasks for those commendations. The most joy you can get out of this game is just by letting the world of Sea of Thieves take you over. Whether it’s fighting an enemy player, allying with a crew to complete the glitterbeard easter egg, or defending your boat from the Kraken, those random occurrences will put you on the edge of your seat. No matter the situation, there’s always a handful of memories made by the intense or comical conversations you have with your crew and others.

I haven't touched the faction aspect of the game due to the evidence of cheaters in it. Also, I have mainly been focused on main world events. Eventually, I will dive into that part of the game.

I don't know how to rate this game actually, but I have to in some how. This game, in my opinion it's one of the best coop nowadays. It have got easy control, good rhythm at the begging, and the main history it's really enjoyable. If I only I had a better computer to play it maybe I would keep lost in the sea...

I think that this game it's absolutely brilliant, only I saw 1 bad thing and is the progression. I think it has changed, now you can buy your own boat and put your stuff and all those things. I think it has come a little bit late and I don't know if it is enough but, is an advance. The rest of the game was amazing, I hope you can enjoy with your friends at least one time.

Joué avec Tux lorsque le XBOX Pass était gratuit fin 2020, j'ai trop trop aimé ce concept de ton équipage qui parcourt les mers avec diverses missions, et je regrette le fait qu'on n'ait pas pu y jouer longtemps j'aimerais trop en refaire avec du monde!

Quelques manques de contenues à sa sortie mais la continuité des mises à jours et l'ajout de contenu constant en fait un excellent jeu de pirates avec des combats en bateaux créant une véritable tension si notre soute est pleine de trésor en retournant à l'avant-poste. Des idées vraiment originales et une direction artistique vraiment réussi, de plus la simulation des vagues et de la mer est impressionnante, Rare a vraiment effectué un bon en avant dans la simulation physique de phénomènes très complexe.

Stemningen var straight 10 ud af 10, for en som mig der har spillet MI1 temmelig meget og flere gange. Musikken var direkte som taget ud af spillet og næsten alle de klassiske lokationer var med i fuldt 3D. Strålende genskabt. Mange steder var det helt rørende at opleve det igen på den måde. Også en fin måde de havde fået mange af de gamle storybeats med i denne Tall Tale version. Ankomsten til Melee island og ankomsten til Monkey Island gav mig kuldegysninger. Desværre skulle man igennem den samme ankomst og mellemsekvens hver evig eneste gang man skulle ind og spille spillet. Det trak desværre meget ned at der tog 10-15 minutter fra man var logget ind i spillet til man kunne fortsætte på questen inde i Tall-tale'en. Puzzle'erne var ganske fine, dog nogen få var temmeligt obskure og der var et par gange vi måtte på nettet og tjekke løsning. Spillet kunne godt have fået en bedre karakter, men det med den evindelige start-sekvens man skulle igennem trak for meget ned.

Now that I have him on steam I have not played much, but whenever someone calls me I will play. I stopped because no friend of mine plays anymore.

Really Good game to play with your friends when you're bored, you can go on a ton of adventures together and at the end of it all you might just end up losing all of your treasure to 10 year olds but overall a really good game but i'd recommend you to not play it solo and play with your friends only if you have a lot of time

I really enjoyed the concept of this game and the depth that it offers. The massive downside is that there is no ability to play this through on single player or without running the risk of running into other people that will absolutely wreck you for no reason. Maybe that's a huge draw for some folks but I was looking for an experience like this that was more single player focused.
