Не совсем любовная история с этой частью серии начинается с того, что она была жестоко дропнута в далекие и так мною горячо любимые 10-е года на x360, когда мне хотелось играть в ассасинов, но я получил кораблики и очередную унылую порцию геймплея в современности. С годами я стал относиться более снисходительно к истории Дезмонда, особенно, когда немного поиграл в первую часть, прошел трилогию Эцио и третью часть. Но в Блек флаге это просто филлер, вместо еще одной плюс-минус интересной линии сюжета, здесь дали какого-то нонейма, который занимается всяким говном и кончается вся эта история тоже каким-то говном. Вообще 0 интереса была следить за всем этим и хотелось поскорее скипнуть. Правда основная компания не сказать, что сильно лучше, да на бумаге сюжет про бомжа с амбициями пошедший ближе к концу по головам, который в итоги все потерял звучит интересно, но на деле интересная тут только завязка, как Эдвард становится ассасином. Ну еще сеттинг про пиратов и атмосфера теплых и очень приятных Карибских островов и моря. Во всем остальном же это полнейшая очень унылая срань как и все Ассасины. Но эта часть особенно отличилась, наверно 90% квестов это слежка, где ты терпишь и слушаешь бубнеж. Есть слежки даже на корабле, что выглядит ну уже слишком. Миссии, которые не слежки, можно пересчитать по пальцем одной руки. Даже в финальных заданиях они есть и это очень бесит. Честно говоря, ближе к концу мне любой тип миссий надоел, будь то баталии на кораблях, устранение статистов или очередная слежка, удовольствие ничего не приносило и эту игру я старался просто затерпеть, потому все время с момента релиза было жужжание какая это чудесная игра и чуть ли не лучшая часть серия. Но по итогу тут все такой же убогий и кривой паркур, говняные персонажи, современность, которую смогли сделать хуже, даже русская озвучка тут халтурная и нпс на локациях говорят не на русском, ну эт бред. Еще меня задолбало, что тут лучше гриндить и прокачивать корабль иначе ближе к концу невозможно будет пройти задания. Не знаю, как будто зря время потратил, дух той эпохи был, атмосфера, но сама игра кал карочи. Кстати это моя первая игра на switch. Порт хороший, производительность и графика хорошие, в этом плане у меня претензий нет.

Replayed 10 years later.
Got annoyed by UI and decided to play without it for "immersion". If you familiar with AC gameplay you can go pretty well, unless the game asks you to do something at the other side of the map and the only indication of it is a map marker. I actually liked it more when I had to actually engage with the world and look around for collectibles, instead of just following the markers on the mini map. I heard that AC1 was designed around this playstyle, so I'll definitely replay it this way.

Parkour is kinda clunky, since it wasn't meant to work with so many objects.Second half of the game is a fever dream and is why I forgot it completely. The sea gameplay is fine, but I didn't want to engage with it. I thought it had more depth, but there is probably no need.

Ubisoft also killed the very convinient mobile companion app around 2 years after release, which makes Kenway's Fleet is a huge chore, because now you need to go to captain's cabin every X minutes instead of tapping a few times on a phone/tablet. Oh, and Kenway's Fleet doesn't work on PC without a fan patch. It's also server based, so once they are down you won't be able to get 100% without cheats. It seems that Switch version made it local?

This game is astoundingly good. Like unbelievably amazing.

Everything was amazing. The characters were 9.5/10, the plot was 9/10, the soundtrack was 9/10, and most amazingly the setting (time and world building) was an easy 9.5/10 if not 10/10. I can literally only think of three complaints:
1. There were a LOT of tailing missions. The parkour/maneuverability mechanics were really good though, so they weren't terribly painful.
2. The plot took a little bit to get really interesting, but not very long, and once it kicked in it was amazing.
3. Obligatory 3 saying I wish there was more content (like outfits to unlock, templar hunts, etc.)

I will most probably return to this game at a later date, but seeing the ending (no spoilers) left me really happy and resolved the story with such a great conclusion that I need to step away for a bit.

Overall, a 9.25/10, would very highly recommend.

TL;DR - Loved this game to bits. You'll love the story, world exploration, and characters. It's the best pirate video game, period.

Mechanically, it is as good as the previous ones, probably better, and the Pirate life and missions are ok mostly and they take THAT long if you want to invest in them. My major problem is the story. There are a few good points in it and some emotional core at the end and some semblance of trying to develop Edward, but the narrative of how all of this is told is just an incoherent mess, that keeps on skipping in time and we mostly have just nippets of Edward's life, but they are not very well connected. It's a shame.

The shanties and naval combat are easily the best part of the game. As an Assassin's Creed game however, it falls short to me. There aren't enough large towns, or jungle areas to stealth in for me, and the main character isn't even an assassin until the final hour of the game. Also, Edward Kenway suffers from behind the fanbases second favorite character, which means he gets over hyped and misrepresented, which caused me to have a negative view of him before starting the game

Là on arrive sur un gros morceau du jeu vidéo avec Black Flag, toujours dans le cadre de mon marathon, qui a été vraiment admirable dans son ensemble, la satisfaction de naviguer sur les mers avec son bateau que tu améliores, te faire des navires ennemis, de l'infiltration et du combat bien foutu, avec des Antilles à rêver, et une histoire vraiment top. On a là un très très bon jeu, si ce n'est le meilleur de tous. J'ai failli le faire à 100% si je n'avais pas eu la flemme de faire tous les coffres sdqsdq mais nan vraiment je fus épaté, le DLC de Adéwalé était sympa également. En tout cas merci Ubi.

Esse foi meu primeiro Assassin’s Creed e me surpreendeu positivamente. É um jogo muito bom, com uma gameplay envolvente, gráficos sólidos para a geração e batalhas navais simplesmente incríveis. A possibilidade de melhorar tanto o navio quanto o personagem principal dá um ótimo senso de progressão.

O mundo aberto é cheio de conteúdo opcional: dá pra coletar documentos, desbloquear novas canções para a tripulação cantar em alto-mar, fazer missões de assassinato e até invadir fortalezas espalhadas pelo mapa. Tudo isso adiciona uma boa variedade ao gameplay e faz valer a pena explorar.

No geral, uma excelente porta de entrada para a franquia. Se você curte piratas, mar aberto e um pouco de parkour com espada na mão, vale muito a pena jogar.

EN: This was my first Assassin’s Creed and it pleasantly surprised me. It’s a very good game, with engaging gameplay, solid graphics for the generation and simply incredible naval battles. The possibility of improving both the ship and the main character gives a great sense of progression. The open world is full of optional content: you can collect documents, unlock new songs for the crew to sing on the high seas, carry out assassination missions and even invade fortresses scattered around the map. All of this adds a good variety to the gameplay and makes it worth exploring. Overall, an excellent entry point to the franchise. If you like pirates, the open sea and a bit of parkour with a sword in hand, it’s definitely worth playing.

Played it before Mad Max as I remember. So, I had had played it first time in 2013(?), but it crashed somewhere at Nassau so I couldn't complete it.

I picked this up on summer break and had a blast. Played on last-gen hardware (Xbox 360), but TBH I barely noticed the difference once I replayed on next-gen hardware years later. This was a really good port.

Story wise... need I explain? Everyone knows Black Flag is a banger. I desperately need more pirate games, such as this, in my life. Edward Kenway is such a great protagonist, and his story is super fun to relive. One complaint I'd say is it's not much of an Assassins Creed story, so if that's what you're looking for (but still want ship combat), looks towards AC3 or AC Origins. Another complaint is the slow, boring start, similar to AC3 but with a less better story intro. It's still good, though.

A trama no presente, com o protagonista "desconhecido" da Abstergo, não chega aos pés do drama de Desmond, e os inimigos em terra são tanques de repetição com mosquetes.

me gusta mucho la ambientacion y perderme por las islas buscando tesoros. pierde la sensacion de asesino ya que juegas como un pirata que de vez en cuando hace de asesino porque le interesa de repente todo lo que tiene que ver con la orden de los asesinos pero nada mas. el sistema de mejora del barco lo hace interesante y las batallas navales estan bien. es mas un juego de piratas con trozos de assassin creed que otra cosa por eso la nota.

O Melhor jogo do tema de Piratas que já joguei na vida, completo, vasto e lindo.
A História cativa legal o jogador porém algumas partes devo admitir que foi maçante passar mas okay.

O Jogo tem Gráficos extraordinários até para os dias atuais e o final deste game não me fez chorar
mas me fez tirar a mão do controle e por na consciência. É um final muito triste mas esperançoso.
Mostra muito sobre a evolução que Edward tem durante o game e como ele deve assumir grandes responsabilidades.

I want to preface this by saying that even though they game is apparently considered by many as the best game of the franchise, I didn't necessarily have high expectations, but rather wanted to see how It'd compare to it's reputation.

1.Story
I was interested by the premise tbh I'm neutral on pirates but I was curious about Edward as character since he is one of the more popular Mc. So the intro was nice, after that the story was just dragging....boring tbh honestly the first time I ever felt that during an AC game. It did pick up the pace after which was welcome. The pacing was off, and I felt like some characters were fairly undeveloped, including Edward to an extent....I struggled to bond with him which was a first for the AC MCs for me

2.Gameplay
It's a good pirate simulator I can't argue with that lol but tbh the incentive isn't that high for some activities especially harpooning....I also thought the templar missions were a missed opportunity, there was a lot of potential there that wasn't really met...the parkour was fine, a bit clunky at times but honestly same as ac3 imo. Fights were fun OFC

3.Environment + music
Beautiful!! I don't have anything to complain tbh I always like the environment regardless of what it is ! Especially liked the Mayan temples and made me think about how cool a game with that setting could be + a lot of people could discover more about the history pre colonization. The music was good no complaints.
