Overall, a stupidly pretty game for what felt like a completely unclear story. I would have loved more direction in what was actually happening. I am still to this day unsure of who I was as the main character.Updated 8 Months Ago

Good game on easy mode, cause i dropped the eight pages because my flashlight went off in 15 minutes. But in this game on easy mode it lasts forever. Also not bad story and graphics even though my pc could not get 60fps on low-medium settings. Yeah, Good!Updated 1 Year Ago

An alright experience that gets a little boring quickly. It's a short game and doesn't have any re-playability.Updated 1.5 Years Ago

First horror game I ever played. The OG. So much fun man, I'll always remember that night and the nights following forcing our friends and family to try it lol.Updated 1.5 Years Ago

The 2023 remake of Slender The Arrival makes the game look gorgeous, while also adding one new level, as well as refining old levels. There is more content planned for 2024, including new chapters, a map creator and even multiplayer! The game does however suffer from performance issues, barely staying above 60fps at times at 1440p, even with a 4070 + frame gen. Definitely avoid for now on less powerful hardware until they improve upon it. It is also quite short. A single playthrough will only take you about 2 - 3h, I needed just a lttile above 4h for 100% and all steam achievements.Quick Summary:
Visuals: 5/5
Performance: 1/5
Gameplay: 3.5/5
Story: 4/5
Overall: 3.5/5 (7/10)

To sum up, the game is far from scary or innovative, relying mostly on the Slender Man creepypasta with non-interesting mechanics and a story that was not well explained. The game is alright if you want to play probably the game that you've seen in your childhood as an experience, but it's just a 5.25/10.Updated 2 Years Ago

I loved this game, even though I'm a very fearful person, I loved this game! In fact, this game didn't scare me too much, the graphics are ugly even at the time it was released, the controls are very strange and difficult to get used to. But since it's an INDIE game, I understand. The game is not difficult, but the last level "The Arrival" was very difficult for me to pass, after passing the burning forest, I arrived at a building, and I didn't know that Charles was chasing me, that's why I was dying. And I was thinking the game is bugged lol. I recommend this game to anyone who likes slender and/or horror games. Anyone who is experienced in horror games won't find it a scary game, but since I don't have it, I found it scaryUpdated 3 Years Ago

Okay horror game but episode 2 was unnecessarily difficult, some of the puzzles were really poorly established, and the ending was lame as hellUpdated 3.5 Years Ago

Very tense game, but not exactly scary. There seems to be a deeper story here. Pretty fun and doesn't get overly boring due to the short length. Pretty decent game, and is probably worth a couple bucks.Updated 3.5 Years Ago

-72-I came in with weird expectations, never having played a horror game. Of course, the game makes you feel helpless, it just is that kind of game. You can only escape and survive, but not fight back. At first, I was annoyed by not having an idea of where to go in the collect *number* of that, but after I looked it up on a wiki or could follow a map it became more fun, the main challenge being to not get caught instead of having no clue where the last collectible was.
Towards the end, I really enjoyed the game. It was scary in the right ways, there were some scenes that were really well made and overall it was cool experience as my first horror game and the story was awesome and well told as well. It could improve in its game design and guidance imo, so I give it a solid 7/10.

Has a few decent scares, but it's pretty much just a handful of mazelike hallways with monsters popping up around corners every now and then. Slender Man was more of an annoyance than a source of sheer terror, and the other monsters didn't do much for me either.Updated 8.5 Years Ago
