Fallout 3: 2.If you wanna walk around and shoot dudes in an easy ass game, go for it.
If you wanna do the same in a game that requires you to think, Far Cry 2.
Bad story, bad combat (improved over 3/NV but better doesn't mean good), still fighting humans that don't respond to a mouthful of buckshot.
Also no pumpy. :(
Stiff and pointless.

Still can't understand the praise for this gameI really gave Fallout 4 a fair shot.
Multiple times.
I wanted to like it, thought maybe I was missing something—but every session left me more frustrated than entertained. At this point, I genuinely believe a lot of the praise comes from nostalgia, they don't enjoy the game but just live of nostalgia fumes from Skyrim & New Vegas.
I fail to see how anyone else could find this a good expierence if you look at it in a vacuum.
Pros:
+ The World & Level design/setting are visually strong Cool vista's , locations and propaganda etc.
+ The worldbuilding has potential as a foundation
Cons:
– Shallow roleplaying systems; choices feel meaningless and tacked on– Braindead AI
—combat often feels broken or pointless and like a waste of time
– Characters are completely forgettable, and a lot of the VO made me want to tab out and leave.
– Two separate quest-breaking bugs in my first 5 hours ( 1 of which was a main quest!!!)
– The world feels more like a Fallout-themed Disney park than a living, breathing setting
Bottom line:
Fallout 4 is a shallow, theme park version of what the series used to be. Imo this game is completly overhyped becasue it's a bethesda property. If you're looking for meaningful choices, compelling characters, or immersive roleplay—look elsewhere.

This game is such a janky piece of garbage just like the rest of Bethesda's catalog. Miraculously I'm able to play this on my steam deck no problem, but any time I try and run this on my computer, load times are long and each time I'm clenching my butt thinking the game is going to crash and I'll lose hours of progress. I have several quests that are bugged and can't be corrected due to console commands being turned off in survival mode, and I feel like my save file is close to breaking permanently after only 60 hours. This game is just about to turn 10, and it's still a broken, miserable experience. All that being said... Fallout 4 still manages to be fun. It's just so ridiculously flawed that I can only recommend it to dedicated fans of the Fallout series.

I liked New Vegas and Fallout 3 more. Fallout 2 was by far my favorite and I really loved the original Fallout. So as weird as this may sound, this is probably the worst in terms of ranking, but still a good game

Edit: I'm changing my score from the 0 I originally gave it. Since the next gen update, the game is actually playable on Xbox one now. I doubt It'll get much higher though, as the game still fails to load often, and still crashes. It's a shame that Bethesda is applauded, as they are one of the worst developers ever, and have forever damaged the gaming landscape with their inability to make a working product. I hope to see them working retail soon, as they don't know how to do a good job. Also, like all garbage developers, they're too stupid or lazy to make a manual that explains the complicated systems they design.Sad, as the voice acting, story, and characters are better than most gaming companies these days. There's some really great work that will never shine behind the shit they put in front of it.
ORIGINAL
I really enjoyed building settlements, and spent a lot of time there.
However....
When I decided to finish the game....the main quest is broken. Same thing happened to me in Skyrim, but the AE update fixed it. That's not happening here. Each DLC has broken quests, and can't be completed. The combat sucks with the VATS system. It's a cool concept that becomes clunky when there's multiple enemies. They close to much gap before I'm able to select what I want. I also imagine that these games would work MUCH better with a KB/M, but they're too lazy to implement that on console. I would prefer they learn how to program hitboxes, but they can't...therefore, once you're out of VATS, you're fucked. It's also another game with the stupid trend of stamina while running...they give you a huge map, and slow you down while traversing it. I'll be glad to see this brain-dead idea disappear, as it shows the real lack of talent and imagination to do better. Stamina in combat, sure. Not while travelling through huge maps.
I'm not restarting to try it again. This game is typical Bugthesda shit that needs users to fix. The game is broken. I can't give it any lower, so 5% it is. It's still too high. The fact that it's regarded well goes to show the low standards gamers have today.
I have personally enjoyed watching the mass layoffs of devs. If they were good, they'd still have jobs. I look forward to them serving me my next fast food order.

EN:
Fallout 4 is my favorite game in the franchise. It’s an incredibly fun post-apocalyptic RPG with a vast open world full of stories to explore. The number of available quests is huge, ranging from small side missions to complex storylines tied to the game’s main factions.
Speaking of factions, this is one of the most interesting aspects of the game. Each one follows a unique philosophy and moral code, creating a sort of alignment system (Neutral, Chaotic, Lawful, etc.), which adds depth to the player’s choices. Your involvement with these factions directly impacts the course of the story and the fate of the world around you.
Another major highlight is the Power Armor, the massive robotic suits that make you feel like an unstoppable force on the battlefield. The combat system, more dynamic than in previous games, makes encounters even more engaging while still maintaining the franchise’s classic strategic RPG identity.
Overall, Fallout 4 delivers a rich experience full of exploration, impactful decisions, and exciting action. For those who love post-apocalyptic worlds packed with stories to uncover, this game is a must-play.

For as many steps backward it might make in terms of main story & dialogue adjustments to better suit consoles, there's no denying the beauty & immersion behind the new region, improved gunplay, more cinematic conversations, & general world-building. It may not be perfect, but when you feel like exploring the most polished version of a post-apocalyptic wasteland, this kind of has to be the default.Updated 6.5 Months Ago

Fallout 4 is an airport shopping mall.Imagine you're at the airport waiting for a flight to your final destination and that you can take this flight whenever you want. Now imagine that there are hundreds of stores of all sorts of brands. If you've ever been in this situation you know the stores are just a small scale of that specific brand with not a lot of variety and you're most likely paying more money as opposed you were outside the airport.
Fallout 4 is quite like that: it's filled with empty. It presents an overwhelming options of things to do but all those things are shallow. Just like going to a clothing store in the airport, you're unlikely to run into something that catches your eye or a good sale. You're just there.
This is the first Bethesda game that I felt the mechanics bloat. I'd rather cut off a dozen mechanics if that means I'm getting fewer options with better quality.
Maybe it's because I don't like the confinements of a shopping mall where the only thing you're expected to do is to consume. And there's nothing wrong if you do enjoy going for an ice cream, the movies or your favorite brand. Fallout offers that in abundance: The shooting mechanics, the upgrade, the collect-a-thon, base builder... those are really solid.
Maybe it is because instead of a shopping mall I was expecting a hiking trail through a countryside village. Just me, water, my gear and enjoying what story the scenery and the people tell me.
At least Fallout 4 does emulate very well the feeling of a post apocalyptic open world. Empty, soulless, barren and dangerous.

(Curie, você habita dentro do meu coração <3).

Fallout 4 is perhaps the last good game created by bethesda, which released in 2015 after 5+ years of development. The game is considered by the fans as far worse than Fallout New vegas (which was developed by Obsidian after only 1.5 years of development). The premise of the game is that the main character named John Four (4) is looking for his son and the main story follows his search in the middle of a 4 way tug of war between the biggest factions of the game which are the Brotherhood of Steel, the Railroad, the Institute and the minutemen. In my opinion the best factions are the institute and the brotherhood of steel.ENDING SPOILERS: Apparently the protagonist's son has become the leader of the institute, so it seems like the canon choice for the main story to side with the institute..
The Main story ends in a very anticlimactic way, since you can blitz through the main quests with considerable speed, instead of upgrading the factions abilities (for example like in Mass Effect 3 where you gather allies to assist in the war against the reapers).
Also the Factions do not appear frequently enough in the commonwealth which takes away from the immersive atmosphere. Also the BoS vertibirds are so weak they literally get destroyed by small firearms. Bethesda also fucked up and made the deathclaws pathetic in fallout 4. In fallout 3 and NV you literally shit your pants when you see a deathclaw on the horizon, but in fallout 4 the average deathclaw is pathetic. They should be buffed severely to induce fear to the player or at least bring back the pack mentality and have them attack you in groups of at least 3.
On the other hand, the game has a lot of side quests, which boost total play time, Stealth is still overpowered since i only had to put power armor 2-3 times in the entire playthrough because i beat everything with stealth and the vast majority of characters are not memorable at all.
All in all fallout 4 is good but it doesn't make a good buildup to the final quest ruining the enjoyment. 7/10.

[This review was copy-pasted from my steam account]On a shared alternative account I have ~3000 hours in this game, prolly around 1200 hours for me, spanning since the games release date.
Modding is a blast! (when it works) and frankly an essential part of playing this game. That's what has gotten me that amount of hours.
I'm writing this review on my main simply because I want to say this - you like RPG's? try this out! Just uh - download a mod that patches the bugs first. Because Bethesda sure did jack diddly after shoving this game out the door.

10/10. This is NOT the best FALLOUT game. However, it is an ok fallout entry with phenomenal exploration, decent combat, and a satisfying gameplay cycle. The modding scene is incredible and is genuinely what makes this game shine. Adding some rpg mechanics, enhancing and moderninzing combat, and flushing out the settlement system make this game awsome; even if they can't fix that lackluster story and subpar narrative rpg elements.Updated 1.5 Years Ago

No real room for role-play in this game. You feel very defined as a character. DLC once again the star of a Bethesda-Fallout but still pales in comparison to even FO3.Base building mechanics are somewhat fun, but don't seem to work quite right - the maximum build size is an odd choice also - compared to say F76 where I can understand why it's warranted.
Ultimately, if you're looking for a fallout themed FPS base builder - here you go!
If you're after anything else, Fallout New Vegas!

Pretty fun for a Bethesda game. It's really fun to explore and do everything. I really enjoyed Fallout 4. The story was not as good as Fallout New Vegas but I still had a wonderful time being scared to death around every corner of the Boston wastelands. It has the same failings as other Fallouts games such as the plastic faces, glitches, weird enemy behavior , and sluggish loading times, but it still knows how to engross you in its world and mesmerize you with its charm. Overall I had a good time and I really enjoyed the DLC as well. A solid game.Updated 2.5 Years Ago

Good open world RPG game, however there was a lot of backtracking and reusing areas previously cleared and a huge amount of repeated quests. Lots to do and hours that you can sink into. However not having an ending and leading into an endless game made me lose interest and I found myself simply wanting to get it done by the end. Regardless, 90 hours of gameplay is huge and I could have sunk more time into it if I held my attention. Sadly it didn't but It is a good game regardless and well worth the price.Updated 3 Years Ago
