Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3Nostaslgic Glasses
You know that feeling when you remember something better then it originally was you were looking at it with ‘nostalgic glasses’? Well the opposite is true with this one. I played it a lot back as a teen but I always remembered it as the worst one in the trilogy. To be honest this game came after Modern Warfare 2 which had the best multiplayer of all time and black ops which had the best single player campaign in my opinion, so it had pretty big shoes to fill. I think that’s the reason I remember it as the worst one even though I still liked it, just the worst of the trilogy. But now I can say that I was wrong.
Ending of A Trilogy
I played the hell out of most COD campaigns but this wasn’t one of them and to be honest I really don’t know why because after replaying it now, it just is amazing from start to finish with a lot of truly epic moments. How they link the events from COD 4 and MW2, ending a solid trilogy and all the different areas you get to explore. The story starts and just throws you into the mayhem and from then on it’s just full throttle until you end up in a juggernaut suit and get your well-deserved revenge for Soap.
Spec Ops > Zombies
Infinity Ward had Spec Ops and Treyarch has zombies. Zombies is very fun with friends but I find it hard to enjoy on my own. Spec Ops is amazing with a friend but also when just playing solo. These missions were not as difficult as in MW2 but the thing that made them hard is that they are pretty long and since there’s no checkpoint it really blows when you die just at the end. I had to complete the co-op missions alone and the first mission was ok but the last one came down to mere seconds whilst handling 2 controllers at the time but I eventually succeeded.
Survival > Zombies
This game also had survival which I also forgot how fun this was. You have to get to wave 15 in every map and damn this was really fun. Every map had it’s charm and even though it took a bit of a grind to get to Lvl 50 it remained very fun. It did reach lvl 47 before I had to start grinding so that’s probably what made it easier to do. I did play a little bit of the multiplayer as well but this remains the least fun part of the game if you ask me compared to what we got before that.
Conclusion
I’m really glad I finally replayed this game, went for the plat and even completed every DLC. This game will be remembered in a different way from now on and even makes me kind of sad that the original trilogy is once again over. But I’ll definitely play it again one day and you should as well!

A lot of good fun, felt the gameplay was a little more varied then MW2, but both are still great. Completed the campaign on Veteran and there were definitely a few moments when you don't have much time to get to cover at the start of a set piece before you are killed.Updated 3.5 Weeks Ago

A step up in the cinematographic experience compared to MW2, but in the end the previous game campaign was better. The hunt for Makarov is alright, but you feel that something is still missing.Good multiplayer, but maps could be better. The special operations, having both the wave survival and co-op mission is the true gem of this game, even if the zombies mode is a better wave survival experience.

7.5/10The weakest of the original trilogy, but nonetheless a satisfying conclusion. Memorable, exciting, and still worth playing.

Of the original Modern Warfare games, MW3 aims to be the most grand. Right from the jump you can tell you're in for a larger-than-life cinematic experience, with fantastic set pieces and higher stakes than ever before. With that said, the story doesn't follow suite, and ultimately ends up being pretty average besides a couple twists and the final scene. However, the story usually takes the backseat to gameplay in these games, and the gameplay is very strong. The guns look and sound great, and I had fun using a variety throughout the campaign (though I'll always favor the G36C). Collision detection was a bit janky at times, particularly in close-quarters where you're navigating a tight space with 5 other NPCs. It also felt like there were more following segments than in previous installments, which hinder the game's momentum a bit. But ultimately I feel this is a very solid game that does a good job wrapping up this monumental trilogy.Updated 2 Months Ago

I think this was a strong end to the trilogy, and it's kind of overhated. Like, it doesn't have to be perfect, but it's still really fun. I loved the setpieces, and it was cool how it took you to a bunch of large Western European cities that have just been decimated into warzones. Yuri was a pretty cool new character, and I like how the story tied everything together. An enjoyable, action-filled experience.Updated 3 Months Ago

Great game. Single-player is great, multi-player is great. A CoD staple. Introduced lots of new ideas that I wish stuck around, but the remnants of those ideas you can still see in newer Sledgehammer games. For example, I sunk hundreds of hours with my closest friend in the 2v2 playlist. They brought that back in MW2019, shortly before he passed. We were lucky enough to re-live these MW3 memories in that game, through those ideas brought forward from this game. Definitely one of the GOAT FPS games, and it will always have a special place in my heart.Updated 4.5 Months Ago

A thrilling and varied ride. The Modern Warfare series wraps up with the usual multiple mission threads spread across global sites. There are a few too many rail cut scenes where it doesn't matter if you shoot or not, a few too many quick time sequences and a few missions where you must stealth or die, alternative approaches are not welcome in these missions. These aside the variety of guns deliver meaty sounds, audio and graphics are great and the draw distance is excellent. Collision detection is sometimes off when you need to move swiftly through buildings, but frequent autosave spots mean the damage is never very much when it goes wrong.
On the whole though this is a high paced action adventure to save the world as usual and...as usual it delivers. It's only 5 hours of play but it's a visceral ride all the way.
A nice way to tie up the series and it probably needs to end here without getting tired. Oh wait...

Aaaah, the original Modern Warfare 3...what a game. It's definitely a great conclusion to the story and while not my favorite in the series in terms of gameplay (I still have a very soft spot for MW2), it's a pretty fun entry. The stakes in this story are even more amped up here than in MW2 and it goes all out. It's truly a shame this game hasn't received the remaster treatment like COD4 and MW2 did because I think it's just as worthy of it...then again, since Activision's too busy milking the 'new' Modern Warfare III, I doubt it'll ever happen at this point.A solid campaign, the best spec-ops in the series, and one of the best multiplayers in the franchise (please use Plutonium on PC though for safety's sake, seriously), it's a great game in the series and I can totally understand why some people consider it the best in this series and even in the franchise. Give it a go if you haven't played and if you have...heck, play through it again, it's a short, but sweet campaign.

My Most Favorite Call of Duty Game of All Timeidk why it got in the shadow of the Success of COD MW2 but this game is better than mw2, atleast for me
I was so attached with the Sandman from the Delta Force and His Death was Really Heartbreaking
and the Final moment to end the Greatest FPS Trilogy of all time was kind of a Mixture of Happiness and Sadness
where we felt a loneliness of Relief.
it's great they ended this Series with This Game because they would have never been able to make A Better Game than this, it's literally the borderline of Perfection
Probably the Best FPS Game in the History of Gaming
1000% Recommended to Play this Game, it's a Brilliant Peace of Art

Decent game, you're getting more of the call of duty people liked/loved at the time. Multiplayer was still strong and what people got it for. However overall the games were delivering the same aspect and fatigue with a series coming out annually began to bite back. Its fair to be critical here that at time this game would lose its punch, obviously not at the sales rather it's impact of being a game.Updated 1 Year Ago

Another COD shooter. The campaign is pretty short but fun. Although most of the time it's so hectic that it becomes a clusterfuck with all the explosions and whatever action is happening around, that you don't even understand what's happening. This makes it fun though. Nothing crazy new here, and this will be probably a trend with all the upcoming CODs. You get your raptors, drones, tanks, etc. to control, and just go from place to place shooting up your targets. Due to the hectic nature of the missions, it's a bit difficult to fully immerse yourself into the story, but you get to finally kill Makarov, who's been a menace for all of these 3 modern warfare games.Updated 1 Year Ago

This game's probably my least favorite from COD's Golden Age (COD4-BO2), but it was still pretty good. It felt like Modern Warfare 3 would never live up to the hype of being the sequel to the critically acclaimed Modern Warfare 2, and I suppose that was true to an extent. Modern Warfare 3 had interesting ideas, and concluded the Campaign trilogy with a stellar showing, while Multiplayer implemented awesome features like the Specialist Killstreak system. Splitting Killstreak types into Assault, Support, and Specialist was a cool idea, and it worked pretty well in practice. It was more balanced than Modern Warfare 2, but there was something really lacking there that I can't quite put my finger on. Perhaps Modern Warfare 3 suffers from the success of Modern Warfare 2, living in its shadow too hard to really shine or stand out in any way. I'm not sure. It was still a great game, though.Score: 88

game is a fun shooter and a great way to finish off the modern warfare trilogy. if you loved the previous game, you will love this one. story is some of the best in call of duty, gameplay is fun, sound is immersive, graphics are more than enough. If you own the game give it a go, else you can get it for cheap for xbox or playstation.. as for pc players, considering that steam is pretty much the only place to get the game and considering that they still demand loads of money for it (40€ normal price, 20€ reduced)... well there is always a way to get it "cheaper" and I am not saying you should... but I wouldn't blame you. (same goes for all call of duty games) ;)Updated 1.5 Years Ago
