[blog] Yearly Infographic

G'day all,

I joined this site in 2016 and have been loving it ever since.

It has motivated me to actually finish games with the simple rule of: If it goes on my "Playing" it either goes in "Complete", "Backlog", or "Retired".

I started a yearly in-review where I would place all the game logos I finished on a blank white canvas and share it on my facebook.

Now with social media behind me I use them as my Screensaver, they rotate through at random.

Anyone else done something like this? Or is it just me. ^_^

Ooh, I've always wanted to mod my SP, but I'm too afraid I'd mess it up.
The Wario Land games are great! I definitely prefer the later installments over the first one though. Wario Land: Shake It on Wii is also good... sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who appreciates that game.

As far as images go, I just put the direct link to the image (ending in .png or .jpg or something like that) inside the image tag.

I do something kind of similar. I make a little infographic for each game that I beat, with some artwork, the title, and the date the game was completed. As much as I love a good spreadsheet, this is a much more aesthetically pleasing record of my completions. It's also part of an ongoing contest with one of my friends. Each game is assigned a point value based upon its length (according to HLTB, of course), and the person with the most points at the end of the year is declared the winner.

It's nothing too complicated:

Under 5 hours = 1 point
5-9 hours = 2 points
10-19 hours = 3 points
20-29 hours = 4 points
30-39 hours = 5 points
...etc...
80+ hours = 10 points

And you earn points based upon how you completed the game: Main Story, Main Story+, or 100% Completion.

This is such a fun and novel take on yearly reviews. Love it!

Do you add replays or is that like a updated version of the game of ratchet&clank ?

If I did a replay of a game I would chuck it in there, why not :).

I would probably just make the image smaller and take up less room of the page.

That is infact the 2016 version on PS4 of Ratchet, I just google image searched "ratchet and clank 2016 logo" to get that one.
